- Dyson all the way! I know it is over $400, but we have had it for many years!!! I just totally love it! We had been buying a new one at least once a year and when you consider if you spent like $80 on a new one that often, you are better off to invest in one that will last MANY YEARS! I love that the filters are lifetime, washable filters and I love the awesome suction and that it is bagless. The wand stretches all the way up a flight of sta rs and you can get many neat attachments for getting under beds and stuff. We got ours at Best Buy, but I am sure it would be WAY cheaper if you bought it off OKorder or checked Craigs List. Hope that helps! Tara
- Q: I have a memory foam mattress topper that was vacuum packed in its original box, and when I took it out originally, it expanded to many, many times its original vacuum packed size. I live far away and need to ship it to myself now, but now that it's not vacuum packed and shrunk, I can't get it much smaller than the largest of my suitcases. Is there any place that I can go to get it industrially shrink wrapped or vacuum packed (preferably in the DFW area) so that I can get it down to at least a fraction of its original size? The home vacuum sealers won't do the trick; this mattress pad is much too strong and large for what they are intended to do. I've tried and nothing works, I'm thinking only an industrial stength vacuum packer will work.
- This may be a long shot, but I know meat packing plants have large vaccuum sealing machines. Maybe you could find one in your area that would do it for you for a small fee. Hopefully it wouldn't come out smelling like chicken!
- Q: My dog sheds very very bad. The vacuum cleaner I have does a terrible job. If course I would like to have the best for the lowest price. I know Dyson has their pet versions of all of the vacuum cleaners but I am trying to avoid spending $500-$600. Any Ideas?
- the okorder . the suction power is great. and it's amazing how much stuff the things pulls out of the carpet every week. ew! but they're worth the money imo. mine is a year and a half old and still going strong (which, believe it or not, is a personal record).

- My younger dog thinks vacuuming is a fantastic game. He's outside, and when the vacuum goes anywhere near the door, you see his head go down, his eyes lock, and he stalks the thing through our door. He barks and leaps and wags his entire behind. Nutter. My older one, on the other hand, couldn't run fast enough. Hates it. Both dogs hate the hose, though. And the younger cannot stand scooters, prams, other dogs, skateboards, strangers, and children. He doesn't attack, except other dogs, he just hides behind me. I think this is partly my fault- I hate everything on that list, except other dogs, so I probably don't help.

- Q: I've had my Dirt Devil bagless for only a few years. It was running just fine before we moved to our new house. Our new house has berber carpet. My vacuum does not move well on this type of carpet with a lot of dragging. What is a smooth flowing vacuum for very low carpet?
- Oreck, it's very pricey but well worth it. My last apt had berber and it worked wonderful on it!!
