Q:My 2000 Saturn SL2 ABS and Brake light come on when I hit about 25 mph and before the abs light comes on when I hit the brakes the ABS engage like I‘m on ice. I changed both ABS sensors and checked the fuse, could it be the brake master cylinder? (the brake pedal is kind of spongy) I went to Auto Zone and they said their scanner only does check engine lights.

I had the same problem with my Ford F150 truck, ABS light came on and brakes would pump like on ice, but was on dry pavement . Problem was the ABS computer chip needed to be reprogramed, COST $380.00 I told them to disconect ABS chip,the brakes work like the old days. you have to pump on ice but I saved 380.00

Q:Why do many people who own a DSLR use it in auto setting?

There are many benefits to using a DSLR apart from the greater granularity of manual controls. Better low light performance from larger sensors, faster response times, higher performance auto focus systems, etc. I am personally a big believer in the predictability and repeatability of manual exposure controls, but modern DSLRs have such sophisticated exposure algorithms that their automated capabilities can relieve a lot of the burden of photography. This can make the process a lot more fun for someone who wants high (technical) quality images, without the challenge. A friend of mine locally is an award winning photographer and a skilled composer, but often allows the camera to fully determine exposure. Quite often, being relieved of the technical demands, allows creativity to flow.

Q:Ok. i have been hearing some things on here like: i will have to get a new alternator, battery and 1/0 awg wire for a system thats amp is pushing out 900w rms at 2 ohms. However, i have went to 2 very reputable local auto shops and they have both said that my current set up will be fine for 900w rms, no doubts. my car is a 96 civic ex, with stock alternator, basic battery, and 4 AWG wiring that i was told was good up to 1000w rms. Keep in mind these are very reputable local shops. So, my question is basicly, whos full of shiit and whos not?

The real answer depends on the efficiency of the amp. Likewise with power wire size. To calculate the current draw of an amplifier, multiply the number of channels by the RMS watts per channel (a 2 channel amp rated at 500 watts RMS per channel would be 1000 watts). Double it to account for amplifier inefficiency (1000 watts X 2 2000 watts), then divide by the average output voltage of an alternator, 13.8 volts (2000 divided by 13.8 145 amps). For more accuracy, use the actual efficiency ratings. Since the average music signal requires about 1/3rd of the average power in a test tone, divide by 3 (145 amps divided by 3 48 amps). This is an average approximation of current draw and it can go higher. So I would gather between *48 and 72 amperes for this example. Calculate 40% of the amperes of the alternator you have now. This is the average current the car uses when running (lights, accessories, etc.). Add this number to the approximate average current draw (*48), and you will come up with the actual size of alternator you need. If the number you come up with is the same or less as what your alternator supplies, you need to take no action. All of this is to keep the car efficient without taxing the electrical system. If 2 pro audio shops don't know this, then I'd be looking elsewhere. The figure of 40% is an inflated 25% as speced by auto manufacturers. I went with 40% as a precautionary measure for those who may have EXTRA accessories not part of the stock system - better safe than sorry. If you don't account for the car audio challenged, who will?

Q:My air bag light has been on in my BMW for a couple years now. It‘s really bothering me. The air bags have never been blown. The rear drivers side door was hit and I had a used door put on to replace it. The original rear door did not have air bags, the replacement door has a spot for an air bag, but no air bag in it. Do you think this caused a false air bag light because there isn‘t an airbag in the door?

Sometimes women with really big knockers sit too close to the wheel and trigger airbag lights. [I totally just made that up.but it's pretty funny] No.if there was no sensor there before (i.e. no air bag) it's not going to trigger the light with it missing. It's probably just a bunk sensor and/or boobs.

Q:2001 audi a4. Along with the traction light (exclamation point ) breaks seem to be working fine though. But when i do turn on a curve going right, i hear a noise in the front left wheel but its not flat or anything. Anyway, It was on when i drove to school, then when i got out of class, (like 3 hours later) it was off the whole ride home. School is about 20 minutes away. So if i take it to auto zone will they help me out? And is it safe to drive?

Your camera has 3 focus modes M manual, C continuous and S single. Set it to S and that should solve the problem but when you change focus points you will have to push shutter button halfway again, you also might not have enough light for your camera to see try it on a brighter subject to find out

Q:I have a chevy blazer ls model, i was trying to replace a fuse in my car when i accidentally pulled out the fuse for the tranny. Now the check engine light is on. Why is it on? Can i reset it?

Pull the fuse for the ECM/PCM for a few seconds, that is enough to reset the ECM/PCM if OBD2 (1996 and later). If this is OBD2, and the light is not flashing, it is not a serious problem. OBD2 systems take multiple restarts (up to 50) after a problem has been resolved, to turn the light off. Or, you can go to an auto parts store, and they should be able to turn the light off if OBD2.

There are different types of internal passive safeties but they all typically prevent the firearm from firing unless the trigger is pulled to the rear to disable the safety. No, absolutely NOT. A transfer bar safety is not affected by the motion of the hammer.
