Check fuel filter if the 6.7 they have many issues with the early models it still should be under warranty. Turn key switch on off 3 times leave on not starting see what the read out is in the speedo area. check on line for the code.

Q:Took it to Auto Zone and the OBD Trouble Code is P0402 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation flow Excessive Detected? anyone got an idea on a cure for the problem, that and I guess with the trouble code it won‘t read whatever they read to pass emissions - at leats that is how it was explained to me?

This code is usually caused by a bad DPFE sensor (delta pressure feedback egr sensor) this is a dealer item best to have the dealer check it first, won't take long 1.0 hr

Q:My check engine light is flashing when i accelerate on my 1989 ford bronco. it doesn't flash with coasting or just idling. Only when i am accelterating. Auto Zone cant read it because it is a soft code. How do i find out why it is flashing?

maybe the software has just realised that you've got an american engine? Joke My car used to show the handbrake light as on whenever i was accelerating. Actually it was mostly when i was accelerating pretty hard that it lit up. That turned out to be a loose cable in the sensor switch. So it may be worth logically following as many electrical contacts to eliminate them, it can be quite a task unless you are lucky and stumble across fairly early on. Good luck and if you don't get lucky i'd send it in to get looked at professionally.

My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!

Q:One morning, car wouldn‘t start. Checked battery at AutoZone: OK. Removed starter, cleaned connections (did not test) and reinstalled: car started and continues to start. Only problem is that the battery light is on and the message check charge system displays on the dashboard. Battery light goes off after some 10 - 20 minutes of driving (especially above 2,000 RPM), but continues to come back on when I start the car.I haven‘t had a chance to stop by AutoZone to have a full system diagnostic. Is this still related to the starter? Alternator? Battery? Any tips, greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SOUNDS LIKE THE ALTERNATOR TOOK A DUMP. YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS. TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE. LEAVE IT THERE WITH THEM SO THAT THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM FOR YOU, IT WILL BE A LOT BETTER THAN JUST REPLACING PART AFTER PART AND NOT DOING ANY GOOD.

When you have you tires balanced they spin the tire with the rim on and see if it spins with out wobbling. Then they place counter weights on the rim to help the tire spin with out wobbling. The weight is small and just clips onto the rim

Every 2000 miles! Only if your money grows on trees! Oil change every 3000 to 5000 miles is the norm. All hwy driving tends to make the miles run by fast so trust your sticker! If your referring to the yellow/orange check engine light then that means the onboard computer has found a fault in the engine electronics/emissions. It is not related to the oil in any way. Any competent shop can check it at your convenience. Now if your referring to the red engine oil light then we are probably chatting after your car is in the shop for another engine! The red engine lights means critical engine damaging problem is happening.
