turn it off for 50 minutes and it will work again. thats normal, just let it rest ;)

In My opinion sounds like a Heater Core is out ( Basically a small Radiator like piece that gets Plugged up) Usually found on the Passenger side with Two medium sized rubber hoses going into it. Quite easy to change. If that's not the problem could be as simple as the thermostat, i always check the small simple things first because this is the best way to trouble shoot. Nine times out of ten its always the the small simple cheap things.

Q:2001 Ford F150 with 6cyl motor. code P0401 exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected- I am not a auto mechanic.Does anybody know what is wrong? Is it the EGR valve?Can I fix it myself with simple hand tools? Thank you for any help.

replace the DPFE sensor.this things fail constantly and produce that code.i can almost guarantee this will take care of your problem

I do not think it will. Sounds like a clog in the EGR. How many miles are on the motor, and have you ever replaced the EGR before? EGRs go bad, most of the time you can do nothing about it. You could try to take it off and clean it out, that might help.
