Types of the cables:：
Standard main cables and branch cables are all low-voltage power cables with XLPE or PVC insulation materials (IEC, GB, JIS, BS ... ...), and PVC materials covered on the outer side. - Q: I'm thinking of the power cables that connect houses to the national grid in the UK. Not only do they appear to be the green colour of copper in full sunlight, but this colour isn't evenly spread. In places there is still black. What causes this, as it's presumably not exposed copper or the colour would always be apparent?
- This could simply be moss / lichen or fungus growing. the north side of the cable will have more moss on it than the south side. As the sun is over the equator and England is in the Northern Hemisphere so the sun lights the south side of the cable, and the moss grows on the darker side. This is a classic way of telling directions in a forest or paddock. Garret
- Q: i cant drill a hole through the firewall because there's too much stuff in the way. so can i run the power cable to the power wire from the radio. the radio power wire is what im talking about. can i do that instead of running it to the battery? thanks
- there should be a hole with a rubber disc like piece on the fire wall you just gotta feel around or there might be a hole some where on the firewall under neath of the brake booster or something you can stick a wire threw you can hook in to your radio with the power wire for your amp because the amp will blow your fuse everytime and maybe even fry your radio cause its such a thick gauge wire best of luck!

- Could you install it without a fuse. Yes. Should you install it without a fuse. No. If your power wire ever got shorted out it would melt and catch of fire. Their have been cars that burned to the ground because they did not have fuses.

- No, lower wattage PSU (typically less than 400 watts) generally do not ace PCI-E power cables as PSU's with that low a wattage typically aren't used in gaming PCs. The Vostro 260 came with a 300 watt PSU and almost certainly does not have a PCI-E power cable. Contrary to what Peter suggests. That computer does have a PCI-E slot. If you have a the mini-tower case you can fit a full sized discrete video card. If you have the SFF case then you're limited to low profile cards, and the PSU is a non-standard sized 250 watt unit. You're probably going to have to upgrade the PSU if you want to get new video card. Also, at best this computer has a Sandy Bridge i5 CPU, with the Pentium and i3 being more common. If you have the Pentium or i3 CPU, then you're only going to want mid-range or cheaper video card, as anything faster than say a GTX 1050 / GTX 960 or Radeon RX 470 or R9 380 will be bottlenecked by the older CPU.

- It is not the best way to do it. There may be some capacitive or inductive coupling between the 480 and 120 circuits that may adversely affect the controls. An accidental short between the 480 and 120 circuits would probably be a disaster for your controls.

- The 6 pin power cable will not come from the motherboard. It will come from the power supply unit into the card. Check your PSU has one before you buy the card. You may need to buy a new PSU but most of them do have it.

- Q: I have an Apple powerbook g4, and my original power adaptor broke. So I bought a new one online, not an original mac one as they are too expensive for me! But this new one makes my tv, stereo and even the sound from headphones plugged into the laptop buzz or go funny. I don't really have a major problem, I can handle the buzzing, but is this a health problem? Like weird electro-magnetic cancer causing stuff?
- Electro magnetism over the short term doesn't harm you very much, but i'd be worried about the voltage that's going into your battery because mac products dislike anything that isn't made by a mac certified manufacturer... which is one reason why i NEVER use a mac product... cause they suck =P
- Q: Whilst mowing the grass, I cut through the power cable, which was connected straight into the wall and not an adapter, which it usually is. I'm fine, how comes? The mower is a flymo bought last year.
