Types of the cables:：

- All you need to do is pop down to your local computer store and get a power splitter, just make sure you get the right type, IDE and SATA drives have a different kind of power connector, so just make 100% sure before you buy!
- Q:When the tv repair company comes out do they take your tv power cable or have there own one for tv
- All TV repair people have all the power cables they could need. BUT... if they think that your fault could simply be a fault in your cable, then they may take it with them, though they would be more likely to try swapping it on your premises before removing the set.

- Ohm meter, to detect foreign ground on the wires or the fixture. Water on the line or the fixture will show up as a high resistance ground, versus a good ground.

- ye this is just a common problem on many cars/tucks not just ford. did a custom install on my jeep and had to cut small hole in front left insulation under dash. it came right out into open space under hood and made great place to run wire. if u cant see any holes/spaces to run it then ur gonna have to cut a hole ro have someone do a pro install for you. (ultimately its cheaper easier to diy - need power drill and a big enuf bit to fit wire thru. im sure u can figure it out, just go slow and be carful, mine worked quik and easy and sounds great. good luck w/ all that - hope i helped

- The power cable thing could potentially be a serious problem, since it seems the ground wire is lifted or missing. I'd definitely check this with a knowledgeable person if I were you. It may be as simple as changing to another AC power plug and connect the earth/ground wire. Do you need an extra preamp? No. Any combo amp have two amp stages built in: pre- and power amp. Adding and extra preamp is highly unlikely make the sound better. You will probably just add hiss and noise. This is not a great amp for playing guitar, although you won't ruin anything by doing it. Just plug yoiur guitar in and see if you like the sound or not.

- No, it's not likely the coaxial cable, it's likely just the modem that went bad. In fact, the modem itself might be fine, you may just need to replace its power brick. Call up the modem's manufacturer and ask them if they can't send you a new power brick for it. It's not unusual that only one thing on a powerstrip went bad, it might have been the first thing in series on that power strip, and it took the brunt of the lightening strike, saving all of the rest of the items on that power strip.

- Q:I am upgrading a two-year-old higher end HP tower to include a mirrored hard drive. I did a little vacuuming and inspection and plan to order the exact model drive which is in there now. I noticed that the SATA cables used include a simple plastic latching mechanism in the connector. I checked CDW and found quot;latchingcables made by Startech which I assume should work (but the latching part is made of stamped metal). My biggest question is the power connector. The factory installed molex-to-SATA adapter also has this latch mechanism (on the black hard drive side), but I cannot find a cable anywhere mentioning a latch on the power connector. Is this something specific to factory installation?Thanks.
