- Q:lost my original 7A cable and the uk wire is 2.5A
- The slim is a two prong power cable however the fat one has a three prong.
- Q:So, yesterday I went to a bargain store and I found a Memorex MiniMove Boombox for iPod for 15$ because it didn't come with a DC cable. It has a battery function but it will only charge my iPod if its plugged in. I've been browsing OKorder for a DC IN 6v power cord like it calls for, but I was just wondering if there's anything else I need to be aware of before I consider buying one. Everything else works great, but I really need a charger as well as the stereo because my mom broke my last one and now it work play anything relating to my iPod when its plugged in but that was the only alarm clock I had. - Hard to say for sure. Your best bet is to go to the Memorex site and see if you can download the user manual that will have the full specs for the power cord. Then you can match everything.
- Q:I'm new to PCs and I recently bought a Dell Optiplex 745 desktop PC but it came without cables. I thought I had the correct power cord but it turns out I gave it away to friends. I have the power cable that you plug into the wall which has the standard PC kettle plug (the correct one for PCs not an actual kettle plug) that you'd usually plug into an adapter then into your PC but I'm not sure if you can just plug it in without the correct adapter. I have Googled but cant make head nor tail of it all. And by adapter I mean the cable with the little box that you usually plug into a device such as a PC, laptop or Xbox 360 before you connect the cable to the mains.Thanks.
- It all comes down to the amount of output that the pc is set to take. I would think that you would be fine without the adapter, assuming it already works. If you do decide to do this make sure you set up a surge protector, dont just plug it into the wall. A power surge could fry the internals and brick the pc.

I plan to use the existing path which is used for other electrical items. - It should be fine as long as you do not tie wrap the speaker wire directly to the power wiring. Speaker wiring is pretty immune to interference except for in extreme cases. Just run it as far from the power as you can.
- Q:I need the cable for my TV to be longer. It uses a 10A 125W cable, and all I can find (at a price I like) are 13/15A cords. Is it okay to use this in conjunction with the 10A TV power cable? It will be plugged into a surge protector if that makes a difference...
- The 10 amp and 13 amp ratings are just the maximum amount of current those cables are made for. Your TV will only use 2 or 3 amps, so both cables are fine.

- Its a trick that always seems to work this is because when you disconnect the motherboard it shuts down and it cant process any data, therefore when you plug it back in and it starts working again it starts from scratch and all the data before was forgotten.
