- Q: I need power cables for my sony laptop
- go okorder
- Q: My 4 gauge power cable is hooked up to the battery's positive terminal and the other end to my amplifier's terminal. Is it safe to accidentally touch the ring terminal (end) of this power cable? I won't feel any electrical shock or anything will I?
- Anything below 30 amps DC will not hurt ya. However,.. you CAN get shocked by DC voltage. -its when you get up around 75 amps that will feel hot like a fire heated wire. At around 150 amps it still won't shock you like AC current but will make you pee on yourself.
- Q: Recently, I purchased two power tools from Craftsman - a 19.2v 1/2drill/driver and a 4.56A angle grinder that look exactly like ones sold by Porter Cable. I don't have links for the drills, but compare pictures of the two grinders below. Other than part of the plastic housing being a different color, you can clearly see that it's the exact same tool.
- Most everything is made by one manufacturer different companies that order enough of anything can have there own branding on them the brands you have mentioned are at the lower end of the spectrum as for quality you will probably discover that the cheapest lithium ion cordless drill is just as good as the most expensive one on the market
- Q: im having probelms with the end piece that goes into the computer, and it needs to be replaced.
- In order to give you the exact source to purchase the cable, please re-post with the Compaq model number. In general, you can purchase a power cable at any of the following sources: (1) Compaq, of course, online -- but its prices will be higher. (2) A 'brick-and-mortar' store, like Fry's -- bring your existing cable, and they will match it, at a price that will probably be lower than Compaq's online price; and (3) OKorder -- which will probably have the lowest price, but you will have to be careful about security. Again, please re-post with additional facts. Hope this helps.
- Q: When I plug and unplug a power cable to the net in my home for let's say, 50.000 times a day, why doesn't my electricity-meter not count that power for the monthly electricity fee? When I unplug the cable the cable should still have some electricity flowing through it at the moment of unplugging. That electricity disappears very shortly after . But after unplugging it, it doesn't have any electricity anymore. So some electricity is lost right? How does this work?
- Basically, the appliance works on the current flowing into it. When you unplug the cable (or hit the OFF switch, same thing) the current stops flowing, then the appliance then stops working. Very simple. .
- Q: Hi,I am trying to install a new dvd drive into an old xbox 360.Can anyone tell me which way around the power cable goes into the back of the drive? Both connectors have two empty pin sockets and one of the connectors has a black dot on it.Does the one with the black dot on it go into the motherboard or the DVD drive? Thanks.
- look man really you need to call the company of the DVD cuz really it will mess up YOur xbox 360 so just think before you act and plus ! it will cost you loads of money...
- Q: i bought a 650w power supply for my pc because i bought a graphic card that needs 550w. So my question is will my regular power cable which came with my computer work on the new 650w power box.P.S- my computer is a 300w
- Yes. it is the same cable that comes with every computer, printer, monitor. OK it's the same cable that comes with 95% of them
- Q: My monitor POWER cable says: 10A, 250V. my CPU power cable says 6A, 250V.Recently, my monitor stopped working, so as a part of hit and trial, i exchanged these two wires. So, although my monitor is using a 6A cable instead of 10A.. my CPU is getting 4A excess than what its wire said initially. Is this safe?? Will i end up blowing up my CPU??
- The cable only supplies as much current as the device draws. The rating is the safe value for that cable. If you use a lower rated cable for a high current device, it could overheat and set your house on fire. By the way, the CPU (box) part of the computer usually uses more power that the monitor, it should have the cable with the higher rating.
- Q: I got two hard drives. The cable connecting the hard drive has 2 connectors, does it matter which connector goes to the master drive and which goes to the slave drive? same question regarding the power supply. 2 connectors on the power cable, the order matters?
- Ok, depending on how you set it up, cable select, and or master/slave, master slave setup it does not matter on the cable positions, cable select the end port on the cable is secondary.......
- Q: Is the ribbon cable the data cable and the wires the power cables?
- Trace the cord with your hand, if it goes up to the power supply box way up. its a power cord. and the rest are data cord
