- Go to 3 different carpet stores. Choose the carpet you like and ask for an estimate. Most reputable carpet stores will give you a free estimate. It will tell you how much carpet you need. How much padding. What you need to prep. It is cheaper to have the room cleared. If you can't then you have 3 different estimates. When choosing the carpet. Bend the sample in half. If you can see the backing choose a different carpet. You don't want to be able to see the backing if possible. The denser the carpeting the better it will hold up to wear. Get the best padding you can afford. If you have pets get a vapor proof liner pad. If it is a berber carpeting it should be stretched drum tight.

- You're in luck, ANYTHING will go with black, medium, and white!! What other major accessories do you have? A painting? A lamp? SOMETHING with some color? OR: Do it up with the rug! - Yes, you can make car carpeting. Just go to any carpet store and buy any carpet you want. You could even carpet your car with shag, if that's what you like (although it will be a lot harder to keep clean than indoor-outdoor carpeting). Use your existing carpet as a template. When you remove the carpet, try to keep it as whole as possible and then just lay it on top of the new carpet for a template. You might have to use books or some other weight to flatten the template, because it's bound to be bumpy after being formed to your car for so long. Then just tape the new carpet in place using carpet tape -- or use glue that's made to adhere to metal. Your car can have any kind of carpet you like. Personally, I would stick with carpets that are easy to keep clean (short-fibered carpets made of nylon), but honestly this is your choice.

- Almost any carpet store will either have on site or access to a rug binding service. When I had my store , we had the color choices of the binding and we then sent the carpet remnant out to a place that did just that, bind the edges to stop it from fraying. Ours were sent out on fridays and returned on the next friday. Just check with your local mom and pop carpet store. Most all places charge by the linear foot to bind or serge a rug. - It is an extra layer to put under an outer rug for example it replaces a stable blanket that goes under a jute or stable rug. It gives extra warmth and rather like when we wear a blouse or a polo neck under a woolen jumper! It can also prevent friction which could cause sores or bald patches especially on the shoulders. I wish we had them in my day - a 5 foot girl trying to put two or three heavy blankets on a 17-18hh horse and THEN a rug is very hard work!

- you need a summer one you need a rain one you need a thick one for the cold days you need a cooler for after riding blah blah blah. and a fleece. That's about it. BUT you can find waterproof summer ones, so you can narrow that down to one (2 in 1! YAY!)

- Yes it's ok to touch the prayer rug. The only thing that we cannot touch is the Quran and we shouldn't equate the Quran with the Prayer rug, you can even sit on the prayer rug whenever you want, remember people pray outside on the floor without a prayer rug and who knows what has been on that floor, also people use their jackets to pray on sometimes when they are out and don't have a prayer rug with them and if it's a woman I'm sure she's had her cycle while wearing that jacket
