- Q: hi there, i just got my new samsung lcd monitor for my computer, can the lcd monitor get overheat? im mean like if the dust covered the vent hole on monitor.and someone say they monitor smoke come out on rear of the monitor suddenly. please tell, im really scare right now. i give ya 10 points please tell me.
- lcd's r very sensitive, dont use like crt. if u hav ac in urs office or home then u can continue, bcz it stays lower temp but in normal u can run 8-10 hrs .
- Q: i know that lcd monitor for pc has a high resolution (can reach more than 1280x1024 depends on my vgacard). lcd tv has also high def (1080p hdmi ready also pc input ready). so. is it good enough if i buy one lcd tv for displaying my dvd player, tv reception also as pc monitor? save money save space, n i only need to buy port switcher right? will it work just fine?
- lcd tv just buy the onw which can be connected to a pc
- Q: I bought a new 22 inch LCD monitor (samsung 226bw) about a week ago but everytime I use it, it hurts my eyes because the refresh rate is too low. When I take a look at the refresh rate it's only at 60hz. I'm pretty sure this is why my eyes hurt. My question is why the max refresh is only 60hz for this brand new top of the line monitor? (or am I mistaken and it's possible to make the refresh higher somehow?)more info: running windows vista at the monitors native resolution ( 1680 x 1050 ). Have installed the latest monitor software/drivers and graphics drivers but the max vista shows the monitor can go up to is 60 hz. My old monitor was running at a refresh rate of 85 hz and I had no eye strain. any help is appreciated!
- LCD monitor refresh rates are pretty much cast in brass and can't be changed without damage to the monitor. If it actually does allow a higher refresh rate, then yo uneed to go into display properties, monitor, and re-install the drivers. Also, you may find that the plug and play monitor could be used generically, but again, be careful about the refresh rate as you can damage your monitor.
- Q: Hi,Anyone can please give me some recommendation on a very good 30 lcd monitor. Price is not important as long as it worths it.The ones I have found on the web are Dell, Apple, Samsung, HP and Acer. Thanks!
- For Graphics work our Studio uses Apple's Cinema Displays. The dot pitch is .250mm on the 30 LCD which is really fine for a 30 display and the screen supports 14ms refresh which is good enough even if you're capturing or editing fast action video scenes. The maximum resolution supported by the screen is 2560X1600 so you'll need a video card to match. The downside to such high resolutions is that you may need to get prescription glasses because everything is so small. We use the GretagMacbeth Eye-one to colour calibrate our screens which is a big plus. The thin border also gives your eye the impression that the screen is larger than it is. Having said that when you sit less than 3 feet away from a 30 screen it is big! If you don't own a Mac you'll also need a MAC DVI to PC DVI convertor and you'll also need a graphics card that can support such high resolutions. The NVidia 7600GT, 7900 and 7950 cards all support up to 2560X1600 but the 7600GT only supports it on one of the two DVI connectors! The ATi graphics cards also support such a high resolution but I'd start with the X1800 range and go up from there. ATi deliver better overall quality picture for 2D surfaces than Nvidia but you'd need to read a few reviews and see them running side by side to know there was a difference! Hope this helps
- Q: HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor HDMI Widescreen HDTV MonitorHDMI Widescreen Full HD LCD Monitor
- HDTV would mean that it has a TV tuner built in. Full HD means that it would have a 1080p resolution (but is mostly just marketting)
- Q: I am soon going to buy a new 21.5 inch LCD computer monitor from Newegg. i read on the reviews that it can be used as an HDTV also if you have speakers and a receiver. I was thinking about doing this, where can I get a receiver and speakers?
- If that LCD monitor can be used as an HDTV, the best way would be with a digital HD cable box. Digital HD cable boxes usually have either HDMI or DVI outputs, and can be connected directly to an HDCP-compliant monitor, and you can watch all the cable channels including the HD ones such as Discovery HD, CNN HD, HBO HD, etc. if you signed up for those pay channels. You can also use an ATSC tuner box, which is designed to receive over-the-air broadcast HD from your local stations (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, WB, PBS), but that's all you can watch. A digital HD cable box is the way to go IMHO. So call your local cable TV service provider if you don't have a digital HD cable box. Hope this helps.
- Q: I just switched to an lcd monitor for my computer and sometimes, certain colors change to these red spots, mostly on pictures. Also, if you minimize the picture or if the picture is big enough to scroll down and make the image disappear from the screen then bring it back up, the red dots will be gone.
- lifeless Pixelyou could attempt to rubdown it decrease back to existence via gently rubbing it with a clean fingermany companies require a minumum of three-5 lifeless pixels in the previous changing it below guarantee or as reported provide decrease back a refurbished one.
- Q: I need to buy an LCD monitor Wide 20 with good resolution, am a designer and need to get the best view. Please suggest. Also Did anyone knows what is the actual retail price of Corsair DDR3 RAM (6GB)? and the price for Gigabyte EX 58 UD3 mother board?
- why 20 inches? its a better deal to spend a bit more and get a simple 22 to 24 inch screen. Like what I found: Acer B233HU 23in 2048x1152 - 234USD I'm looking for a monitor also, and I also do a bit of graphics design. I opted for increased resolution and larger screen size, although actual measurements its really just my existing monitor that's 6 inches wider. or how about this one: Auria EQ236 1080p 23.6in - 180USD resolution is a bet smaller, if you prefer to have icons and screen images to be a bit larger. corsair 6GB ddr3 1600 is around $150 gigabyte ud3's are around $200
- Q: My monitor is a Samsung 931BW, 19 inch widescreen, the most recent monitor, after a period of time to re open when it has been flashing, will not flash. Boot time so, or the host did not shut, just off the monitor, after a while re opening display, but also this way, what is the reason ah, I bought two monitors for two and a half years, because the aging of it?
- Two situationsOne is the line problem, this simple, well inserted tight, can not change a tryTwo is the problem of high voltage board, that is, behind the LCD display, there is a high voltage boardIf it's bad, change it. There's not much moneyIf it's in the warranty, it should be freeGood luck!
- Q: Chimei CMV 946D model just went blank during use. Can you point me to a DIY troubleshooting site?
- Couple simple checks. Is light on monitor solid? If flashing or amber (or some other goofy color not seen during normal operation when it worked) means it has some sort of issue inside or is NOT receiving video signal. So computer on, monitor light solid put flashlight near screen to see if you can see login or desktop icons. If you can this means your backlight went bad. Would be cheaper to buy new monitor if is the case. Try monitor on another known to be good computer. Or try another monitor. This will isolate if its your monitor or video source. I have a feeling you may find out its the backlight as they do go bad. A critical indication is the screen will have pinkish/red tint when first starting then clear up.
