Q: Guys - I‘m trying to quickly sell my winter wheels/snow tires (16 inch) for my 2005.5 A4. These wheels originally came off an older A6, but they still fit my A4 and I used them this past winter. I have an interested party who wants them, but he doesn‘t know if these wheels will fit over the brakes of his Audi S4, which presumably have larger brakes than the standard A4.I have only about another day before I move, so if anybody can confirm or deny whether these 16 inch wheels will fit an Audi S4, I would appreciate it. I THINK the wheels are about 8 inch wide - they‘re certainly NOT 9 inches wide.: The previous poster is correct. However, one thing. Usually when you have performance tires and rims, and you put snows on, you usually go a size down, in width and rim size. Case in point, I have 17 rims and 245/45/17 performance tires on my A4. I run 195/65/15 Blizzaks in the winter with steel rims.

Q: Why do some Railroad Steam Locomotives have only 2 guide wheels and other 4?: It all depended on power, speed and weight limits. To get more power from a steam locomotive, a bigger boiler is needed. Bigger boilers produced more steam to move bigger pistons and get more tractive force at a given speed. But locomotives with bigger boilers needed more wheels to distribute their weight on the rails. On the other hand, steam locomotives had no transmission. Instead, cranks moved drive wheels directly. This limited drive wheel rpm since piston speed was also limited. For that reason, faster locomotives required bigger drive wheels in order to increase wheel development (more feet/metres per piston cycle). Bigger wheels are not only taller but also longer, thus fewer wheels drive could be fit under the boiler in faster locomotives. That increased the need for additional smaller non-drive wheels to support locomotive weight. For that reason, slow steam locomotives tend to have more drive wheels and fewer non-drive wheels, whereas fast locomotives tended to have fewer drive wheels and more non-drive wheels. Of course, this is just a general rule. Other locomotive features such as number of cylinders or gauge also have an effect on locomotive weight.

Front wheel drive starting on a slight hilll will leave you spinning. I have seen it many times,s I drive by.LOL I use 4WD. It is not the same as quattro and AWD. Those have viscous transfer cases that divide the torque up to any wheel in any percentage of torque to that wheel. 4wd can be locked so that torque goes to all the wheels all the time. You can't drive 4wd on dry roads, but you can drive AWD on dry roads.

Q: skateboard wheels for criusing and goin over stuff: There are lots of good skateboard wheel makes, Enuff. Almost. Speed demons. Look online for them makes they will cost you about ?20-30. they're good wheels, make sure they're not plastic wheels. look for rubber wheels.

Q: my rear wheel on my 2008 crf 450r is wobbling and one of the spokes popped out of the socket on the wheel. What do I do?! Should i put a whole new rim/wheel becuase im gonna buy a new tire for it anyway. I‘m not sure if it‘s the wheel or the swingarm that‘s wobbling. I tightened my spokes last week which stopped the wobbling. But it‘s wobbling again. And one of the spokes is out. Help me?: One spoke will not cause a wheel to wobble, i suspect a bunch of spokes got backed off and the wheel got out of balance.you have to know what you are doing to get the wheel back in balance.obviously you do not so I suggest you take it to a shop and explain your problem. A good mechanic can re-balance it by adjusting all the spokes.in the future just remember to check the spokes on an ongoing basis, then this won't happen.having said all that, there is a chance you have some sort of bearing issues too i suppose.get it checked.good luck
