Q:Solid wood floor can be removed again
Solid wood decorative style natural texture, recover the original simplicity, decrease in forest cover, vigorously promoting environmental protection today, the solid wood floor is more precious. According to May 1, 2002, the national wood flooring standard GB/T15306 - 2001 implementation of solid wood flooring grade is divided into: B color palette of this class in high-class solid wood flooring. It exhibits a natural wood texture and color pattern, to give natural, soft, rich affinity texture, also because it is warm in winter and cool in summer, feel good. It is an ideal material of the bedroom, living room, study room decoration
Q:Had engineered wood floors installed -- need to find safe products for it -- box only says Timberland.?
Assuming you're talking about cleaning products, your best bet is to stick with a simple dust mop. Should keep it clean and shining barring any big spills. For chemicals, contact the installer or manufacturer for products approved for use with the material of the floor.
Q:can anyone recommend a brand of heating to use under engineered wood flooring?
We don't understand how you plan on doing this. Are you talking about heated cables, or hot water tubing? Wood floor would be flat on a concrete slab floor.
Q:Why is engineered wood floor so delicate?
It really depends on the brand you bought. A lot of companies produce engineered wood flooring in different styles and grades of quality. You may have ended up buying a lower quality without even knowing it. I would recommend checking with whoever installed it to find out what exactly was put in, and if it was supposed to be good quality, I would go back to the manufacturer and ask for replacements. Granted, there are a lot of factors that would scratch things...like dogs, roudy children, etc. So it could be any number of things causing the scratches. Or the product could just be defective.
Q:Can a finishing nail gun be used to install 3/8 engineered hardwood?
Engineered flooring is usually not nail down. Normally it is floating or glue down. You can use a finish nailer to lay down flooring but for blind nailing it is very tedious and you have to be very careful, not recommended . It is fine for face nailing but I bet your flooring is pre-finished and you don't want to face-nail a pre-finished floor. Find out how your floor is supposed to be installed and if you can nail it down you'd be much happier if you rented a flooring nailer or stapler.
Q:help, what di i clean my engineered hardwood floor with?
I just mop mine with Armstrong floor cleaner. It is a product made for this kind of floor. Just be sure to wring out your mop so it is just damp , you don't want too much water on the flooring. I purchased a mop from TARGET especially made for laminate flooring, the sponge is larger and holds less water. If you don't mind the smell...a light mixture of white vinegar and water actually works the best. No streaking and it makes it shine.
Q:How to choose wood flooring
Solid wood flooringSolid wood flooring is wood drying, after the formation of the ground decoration materials. It has a pattern of natural, comfortable and safe use, is an ideal material for the bedroom, living room, room decoration. Solid wood decorative style natural texture, recover the original simplicity, decrease in forest cover, vigorously promoting environmental protection today, the solid wood floor is more precious. Solid wood floor is divided into AA grade, a grade, B grade three, the highest quality AA.
Q:Any professional wood floor installers out there who has installed engineered wood floors without glue. Every?
Many engineered wood floors can be floated. Actually most can be either glued, floated, or stapled down. If you are considering doing it, just check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend.
Q:What are some good brands of Engineered hardwood floors?
Bruce, Mohawk, Shaw, Bella Woods and Armstrong to name a few to get you started. Now remember each one ( and all ) of these will have a low end and a high end so shop apples to apples. As far as Johnson hard wood, I haven t heard either way with that particular one. GL
Q:Is it ok to glue and nail engineered hardwood flooring?
He is doing the right thing. The glue will keep it from squeaking as the temp and humidity change and offer another layer to hold the floor. Glue can also come undone if not secured. The nails will keep it from moving. When they tell you nail or glue they mean you can do either or both it's not an OR statement. Thank him, it's not often you get a contractor that stick to what he knows is correct faced with his clients pesterings (Many renos under my belt and I pester a lot). Your floor will be trouble free for many many years to come.
Our company has advanced wood desiccation equipment, and complete sets of equipment for machining and mounding and assembly lines of UV and PU lacquer, which stand for national advanced level. A severe quality control of the total process from purchasing the raw materials until finishing the flooring ensures the high quality of the products.
