By the time you've filled a pan at most 5 mins the pressure will have dropped. There are a couple of drain points on the boiler as well which would be quicker but if you touch the wrong thing you might have problems. If the pressure increases a lot when the heating comes on then the boiler needs some attention. Milli Tant has given you wrong information the two taps left and right are both used in filling the boiler.

Q:Has anyone got any ideas please the boiler is new also it sounds like it is firing all the time is this normal ?Thanks in advance: I assume you are referring to a hot water coil in your boiler. After the boiler there is probably a mixing valve. This tempers the hot water with cold water to keep it from getting too hot. It is possible that debris in the lines from the new installation has gotten caught here and is making this valve stick. If it is constantly on this may the a thermostat or aquastat problem. It is difficult to diagnose such problems with certainty from a distance. Have the installer come back and check out the system.
