Q: I need to replace the wheels and bearings on my skateboard. How do i go about placing the bearings inside the wheels?
Put one inside the wheel , place it on the truck , then gently push it in. Be sure you apply pressure evenly to get the bearings flush and even , you can tell by looking at it. Be sure to use washers on the outside and in to increase the life of your bearings and keep them clean. To get them out use a flathead screwdriver and pry them gently out.

Q: today is my bday and someone wrote blessings as you turn the wheel what does this mean
The wheel is the wheel of life. The person who gave you the card was wishing that good things come to you as time goes on.
Q: How the alloy wheels can be distinguished from normal wheel? What difference do alloy wheel make in terms of performance / handling / road grip? Is it worth while to make investment in alloy wheels (in terms of difference in performance)?
Normal wheels are made from a pressed-steel rim, and a pressed-steel centre disc which is welded to the rim. They are cheap, but heavy and generally unattractive, and they are prone to rust. In an impact they tend to bend, sometimes making it possible to continue driving after a serious impact (but at greater risk, so drive carefully). Alloy wheels are made from aluminium alloy, usually cast but sometimes forged. Most are made in one piece, but some can be made of three separate parts bolted together at the rim (lots of tiny bolts around the wheel rim). They are generally more attractive, lighter and less prone to rust. Cast wheels can fracture in a severe impact. The light weight can give benefits in roadholding and handling because of the reduced unsprung mass of the wheel assembly. This means the wheel needs less energy to move in response to bumps, so improving the ride and keeping the tyre in contact with the road surface for a greater time. However this benefit can be lost if the wheel is bigger than the standard, or the suspension is stiffened from standard.
Q: its really bad, the metal next to the rubber wheel is all orange. Both wheels. Any ideas?
Hi. Alex has actually answered your question well here, but I agree with some of the other points too. 1. If there is ANY way to keep the bike indoors, this is best. 2. Take Alex's suggested maintenance measures 3. If possible, dry off the bike with a cloth before putting the cover over it (as humidity will increase the rate of rust formation) and try to secure it on a non-wet floor (so, in a dry, covered bike rack, rather than against a lamp-post) when you are away from home. 4. Clean chain thoroughly before lubing it. 5. When removing rust, treat these areas with anti-rust and as others have said, you need to paint over and/or wax over any bare metal. 6. Trouble with rust is that once it takes hold, its very difficult to get rid of it. If there's no way of keeping it indoors, consider selling it (while it's still fairly rust-free) and buying an aluminium bike. An aluminium frame will feel different and you may or may not prefer it, but your investment will probably last longer.
Q: and is it hard to change your wheels on your roller blades ?
The wheel color doesn't matter, but the softness of the polyurethane compound represented in a number like 86b or 74a does. The smaller the number, the softer the wheel for a smooth ride outdoors, but it will wear faster than harder compound wheels. I always liked Hyper wheels for outdoor blading. They held up well, lasted ages, except the front ones I drag to stop, and they ALL wear at angles, but these were light and smooth with their great hub designs. No, it is easy to change wheels, if you have the right tools. Allen wrenches, bearing puller/pusher, and thumbs. :)
Q: also where to buy them??
Orangoutang wheels are great for sliding! I have a pair of 86a yellow Orangatang In-Heats on my Loaded Dervish and couldn't ask for a better set of sliding wheels. You might also want to look into the orange In-heats, I think they are 84a but they seem to be very popular in a lot of sliding videos. I bought my wheels from Boards on Noard but you can also ding them on the Orangatang website or in local skateshops. Hope I could help!
