I installed 3 ceiling light fan combos last yr. I too was perplexed and it took me longer to do than an electrician. I can only recommend that you closely follow the directions that came with you setup. The Chinese directions are not much help, but they may help. Good luck!

we know that the power = i^2 *r where i : is the current through the wire. r : is the equivalent resistance of the current. so this power will be consumed in the wire in form of heat, so if the resistance of any wire increase, the absorbed power will increase. Also we know the resistance of any wire = * l / a where : - = constant, the resistivity of the matter ( copper, aluminum,... ). - l = the length of the wire. - a = cross section of area of the wire. as the length of the wire increase, the resistance will increase, so the power will increase, this lead to increase of the heat in the wire.
Q:can a 4 wire dryer work with a 3 wire plug?
Yes, download the owners manual, it will tell you how to the unground neutral, and use 4 wire cord, but generally you will just need to disconnect a jumper that connects the center terminal to ground, then connect the ground wire to the frame. Post the model number if you need help finding it. I am a little confused, it seems your first and second question are opposite, but doesn't matter, all dryers in North America can work with either type. The code says you have to use the 4 wire receptacle unless you only have three wires in the junction box. The Equipment grounding conductor is the green wire. The grounded circuit conductor is the white/neutral wire.

flat co-ax cable would be an oxymoron, however there is flat twinlead. U need to know that twinlead is more likely to have interference problems though. electrical cable usually has 3 conductors so it is naturally kind of oval shaped people typically hide these behind baseboard or in the space below the baseboard if they have wall to wall
