Description of Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump
CDL/CDLF is a kind of vertical nonself priming multistage centrifugal pump, which is driven by a standard electric motor. The motor output shaft directly connects with the pump shaft through a coupling. The pressure-resistant cylinder and flow passage components are fixed between pump head and in-and outlet section with tie-bar bolts. The inlet and outlet are located at the pump bottom at the same plane. This kind of pump can be equipped with an intelligent protector to effectively prevent it from dry-running, out-of-phase and overload.
Application of Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump
It can be used to convey various medium from tap water to industrial liquid at different temperature and with different flow rate and pressure.
CDL type is applicable to conveying non-corrosive liquid, While CDLF is suitable for slightly corrosive liquid.

- Q: I have to replace the hot water recirculating pump in my house. It is made in Hungary and the Manufacturer's letters look almost Russian. The only words in English are the spec's (amp draw, voltage, etc.) This house was built in 1998 and the plumber's no longer in business. - Typically, such pumps come as an assembly with flanges to match the existing pipe. Determine your pipe-size and purchase the entire system to that size. Your plumbing supply will be able to help you match all that. And the difference in cost between just the pump cartridge and the entire system is nominal. Get a good one, by the way. Grundfos and Bell Gosset are amongst the best, TACO comes in pretty well also. Unless you have isolation valves on either side of this pump, you will have to drain the system to do it properly. While you are in there, you have the opportunity to install isolation valves and other sorts of refinements for easing future servicing. Hope this helps.

- Water pumps do not last forever. Since you do not tell us the mileage of this 2000 Audi TT I will hazard a guess that it has over 100k on the odometer, in which case it should have had at least one timing belt and water pump change in its past. There are quite a few other wear and tear items that should also have been replaced by now. Before you buy ANY used car from ANYONE you should have your own trusted Audi mechanic do a pre purchase inspection (PPI) on the vehicle as well as go over the maintenance records that the current owner possesses. Do not, under any circumstance just take the sellers word for anything.

- Be careful what you buy. Most aquarium pumps are AIR pumps. Why not just use a siphon? As long as the storage tank is higher than the generator it will work. Get a hose or plastic tubing of the size you need, put one end in the tank. Suck on the tubing to start flow. To stop flow just pinch off the pipe or raise the spout above the water level. you might even install a valve if the tubing is large enough.

- A potentiometer will work, and this could be wired in series with the pump as long as its minimum resistance was zero ohms. You can also use an adjustable voltage regulator which would likely be more energy efficient but a more complex device. A potentiometer or regulator would need to have a minimal rating of 12V * 2A = 24 watts. A potentiometer, that is made for 12 volt applications, should be available at a local auto parts store.
