I work at Kohls dept. store and people that have a Kohls account at certain times of the year can take advantage of our 30%,20% or 15% discount.. It's generally in the form of a scratch-off OR catalouge coupon... It's good on ALL the merch. in the store.. So, right off the bat you would SAVE and we also match price SEARS, BEST BUY etc.. not online... So, if you did your homework and brought in the sales ad etc...You could do pretty well.... ***The last customer that I sold one I gave him 30% and matched price so he saved about $160.... ***You don't have to have the coupon.. Just during the sale event tell them you left it at home or borrow one from another customer... ****Check your local vacuum repair shop and see if they have a refurbished model.. Good luck...

Q: can commercial vacuum cleaners be used a home ?I dont know if their high speed and powerful motors can damage the carpet at my home.I am thinking of buying oreck but dont know if I buy thier commercial vacuum cleanerthey can damage my carpet.Let me know if you have any experience with those.: I would advise you not to worry on this score. The difference between commercial vacuum cleaners and the domestic machines is that the commercial ones are bigger, have a more powerful motor and are heavier. You need not worry about damaging your carpet by using a commercial cleaner; the dirt will be sucked out more effectively but not that powerfully to spoil the strands. So far as the rest of your house is concerned, a bigger vacuum cleaner will do a better job of cleaning even the nooks and corners. People go for the smaller domestic versions as they are not expensive and consume less electricity. I have a commercial vacuum cleaner and use it both in my home and adjacent office and am delighted with the results.

Q: How much do you think a Kirby Vacuum cleaner goes for in 2008. I had a retailer come to my house and gave me a godawful price..i want to see if his price matches yoursJohn J M: There is not a set price for a Kirby. The salesman pays a set price but is free to charge as much or little as he thinks he can get. They usually start asking for about $1600. They are not worth it. Neither is Rainbo. A Royal Commercial is very similar to the Kirby but in my opinion better made. And half the price. If you want a good vacuum go to a janitorial supply. Be prepared though. They still are not cheap. But Commercial will last and do a better job. I can't stand Kirby.

Q: I am in desperate need of a new vacuum cleaner - I have just bought a vax after the sales lady recommended but am taking it back due to its poor performance its so noisy my neighbours hear me hoovering at the end of the street ! far too heavy and hardly picks up a thing !! I have had a dyson before which was fab but really cannot stretch to a new one far too pricy - perhaps i am always going to compare performance to this anyone know anything as good but not as expensive all opinions greatly appreciated: get a dyson. they are a step above the rest . try OKorder where they are having a sale on dysons at the moment...
