Q:I got my first car which is a 98 civic ex coupe, Auto(unfortanatly) It has the peanut stock exhaust on it and i would like to put a new one. I want one that does to make that much sound that sounds like a fart can. But one that is if not completly quiet but can not be heard miles down the road. I just want an exhaust system to get rid of the old one. Thanks
Opinion. Something with gasket or fuel pump or something. Demaged catactlictic? If it was something like a sensor itd stay on. If i was u i woulda gotten fixed a while ago. But have you noticed if the car wastes a bit more gas than it should? Well anyways, u should be fine. But get it fixed within a month cuz a drive that far, ur guna makeit a bit worse
Q:Will a nissan altima se-r exhaust system fit a 2005 nissan altima v6?
Just go and buy a cat back system BORLA or Greedy exhaust. All stainless warrantied forever. Nissan SER system will cost three times as much unless you find a used system. Good Luck
Q:I have a ‘94 F-150 and I just noticed that the muffler has holes and the rest of it is in bad condition so I am going to replace it all. The previous owners got aftermarket exhaust and it is all welded on. The Haynes manual can‘t tell me how to do it because the stock exhaust was clamped on. Thanks!
if you plan on keeping the headers start where they are connected and move back. It hard to say how the exhaust is bolted or welded up since it is aftermarket. Is it bolted to the headers? Unbolt it. Is it welded to the headers? Cut it. I would unbolt and make the necessary cuts first, then remove the hangers and the exhaust will just fall down. Dont forget to undo the sensors as you dont want to tear the wires or mess them up if you plan on re-using them. It doesnt matter if you cut or remove the hangers first as long as the exhaust doesnt land on your face when you do either you will be fine. If you are removing it from the headers back I would unbolt it at the headers then remove the hangers and let it fall since there is no reason to disconnect any other part from the exhaust.
Q:i dont want any high performance or expensive one, i just want the basic cheapest exhaust system i can find, so if anyone can send some links of where to find one would be much appreciated, and also a transmission for a 2005 4 door sedan cobalt, prices and places to buy pleaseee
The loudness i could say substitute right into a muffler undertaking. The lesser power must be your transmission. If it gets worse and worse because of the fact the weeks bypass on, i could get it in to a mechanic. Honda's could final an exceptionally long term.
Q:i want to know some good exhaust systems for a 2001 blazer zr2. i was looking at flowmaster or magnaflow but dont know which. i want the truck to be loud and have a deep rumble. no cats preferred but whatever is good loud and within good price. thanks
Well I'd start out with a set of headers. I'm pretty sure they sell some pretty decent price 4.3 headers on summit, or jegs. Then I would upgrade the piping to mandrel bent steel. If you wanted you could go slightly bigger pipe diameter for some more deepness. I would install a high flow cat. Not a whole lot of sound difference between no cat, and a high flow cat. Then I would put some flowmaster super 40's. That should give you a sound similar to a v8 exhaust.
Q:On my 2005 Ram Hemi with single exhaust, I like the mellow quiet tone of the stock muffler. I figure the single exhaust system is restrictive, so I was thinking about dual exhaust. I don‘t wanna buy a high dollar system, and I wanna keep it quiter than aftermarket. Do you think a local muffler shop can free up some HP with their home-made dual system and some stock mufflers?
Yes as long as they leave the senors in place or U will be having check engine light on.
Q:i do a lot of off roading and i would enjoy a lot more sound coming from my exhaust. i have a flowmaster muffler on it right now but its only loud at around 4000 rpms. i want something with sound throughout the rpms. any suggestions? thanks
I am an avid toyota guy and LOVE the 3.4L 5VZ-FE engine. One peice of advice I will give you is to NOT TOUCH the exhaust system. Particularly if you offroad (not too sure if you define that as driving on dirt roads or actually wheeling your truck) any way.that engine will get ZERO benefit from an exhaust system, the only thing that will happen is you will lose tons of torque, believe me, I have experience with this situation. It will be noticeable on hills, and inclines that before you would not have to drop a gear to get up, or your auto did not have to down shift to get up. The ONLY time that engine will benefit from exhaust is when it has some sort of forced induction(super/turbo charger) Sounds to me like you just mall crawl it so maybe some gay exhaust will benefit you, but I promise you it will not help 'off road' at all. Toyota did an amazing job with that engine, don't mess it up with some loud usless glass pack or cherry bomb hood rat ****
Q:Is this a good exhaust system for my honda civic?
Remus, Mugen or Spoon. If you have the Type R or any honda don't bother the factory one is well tuned for performance you won't get anymore out of it. Someone spent money doing this on a Vti-R coupe they got extra 5hp with a full exhaust. Waste of $$ could have spent on engine.
Q:I have a 2001 v6 ex honda accord. i want to make the exhaust a little louder but dont have the money to upgrade the exhaust system. any products i should buy? and where? also will putting in a cold air intake make it anylouder?
well first off, i think Hondas sound like a swarm of west Nile mosquitoes heading my way, not sure why anyone likes that sound, but the best ways to make it louder are to buy performance exhaust parts. The ones to look for are tubular headers, high flow catalytic converters, and high performance mufflers. flowmaster is one of the loudest brands out there. there is a way to make it even louder, but since you drive a Honda you are probably like most other Honda people and don't wanna do any actual work to your engine, just appearance enhancements. you could buy a camshaft to give your valves higher lift. although this often requires new valve springs as well. Im not sure if headers and cams are available for such small and underpowered engines, usually people use them on V8's. but it might be worth checkin out, just head over to auto zone, or advanced auto parts, they can tell you.
Q:We bought our toyota brand new. after how many miles on average can i expect exhaust system leaks?
if you're not near salt water or where they put salt on roads for snow removal, i've seen 'em, in general, last ten plus, plus, years. muffs will come and go. consumable item there. especially since most pump fuel is now of ethanol blend. and muffs have spots where moisture gets trapped for a brief amount of time. unlike a pipe where water can move, or the cat where moisture gets cooked regardless. hopefully if the vehicle is cared for, the cataverter will live long. the piping will live a long time. i lived on the coast. seattle. and my *piping* on my 93 toy pu is still good. third muff, second tail pipe. everything else is acceptable. and like most 4x4 vehicles, my 4x4 has seen more adverse conditions than just a street vehicle. ------------ mother is correct on short jaunts and not fully dissipating condensation. but that scenario is far and few between. those that only use a vehicle as a local grocery getter and nothing else. has everything to do with the environment as well. local weather and local road conditions are all in play.
