QTZ40 FAQ
Q: How many meters of the steel wire rope?
A: For normal model, the length of the rope is 100 meters. But we could produce the length according to the customer’s request.
Q: What is the function of the monitor?
A: Monitor, namely inspection system (like black box), which could store 10000 tower crane operation reports, and it is recommended to be installed in big cranes more than 16t.
Q: Can you equip with light on tower crane jib, monitor, remote control and anemometer?
A: Sure. All of these could be provided with extra cost upon the clients’ requirements. But according to general practice, remote control is not suggested because most of the operator feedback operation in the cabin will provide a wide working view.
- Q: If I have one week, is that enough time?
- It all depends on how fast you can make one paper crane and how many hours you have available each day. If you made 15 an hour for 10 hours each day (150 cranes a day) for 7 days you would have 1050 cranes. You will probably find that you begin to go faster, the more cranes you make. However, after 2 or 3 days you will get sore hands and this will slow you down again. It's easier when you work as a team.
- Q: How does the torque of a construction crane relate to the torque of a car?
- Torque is force x distance. In a car, the torque is the force twisting the drive axles, and the distance is the radius of the driving wheels. It controls the rate of acceleration of the car. In a crane, the force is that provided by the winch cable, and the distance is the length of the jib. It controls the weight the crane can lift.
- Q: I have recently mounted a Meiller MK 40 R / 2 crane on my truck and I wonder if my truck's hydraulic pump can support it without problems. I have a Mercedes-Benz 813 truck of 1987 and the crane is more or less the same years by the way. Should I change my truck's pump?
- Check what the hydralic specs. of the crane are. Then see if your truck pump can supply the output pressures and volume.
- Q: what is the crane track base ?
- Assuming mechanical I suppose that is the size of the area of the two tracks on a crawler type crane. The tracks or treads are similar to those on a tank or bulldozer. One track covers a rectangle in contact with the ground. Both tracks are spread apart, parallel and form some kind of rectangular (length x width) base area for the crane.
- Q: are they for camera support
- The cranes have the cameras for the panoramic views which are shown throughout the broadcast. There were instances in the past when they also held the camera men.
- Q: I know you need to put current around the magnet (or certain type of metal) in order to attract but is it possible to use as pushing an object away. if there is please tell me how!
- To push an object away, you need equipment that is low to the ground when it applies the force. Bulldozers are designed to push objects. Electromagentic cranes are designed to deal with vertical forces, so they are used to lift and drop metal objects. They use electricity to flow through coils wrapped around a metal core to generate a strong magnetic field. Trying to use them to push things could cause a crane to tip over since they are not designed to deal with horizontal forces. Even if you could get the electromagnet wired to repel metal objects, when you bring the electromagnet near the object, it would repel away in an unwieldy manner because of friction and interference with the ground. And trying to direct a large electromagnet at the end of a long chain would be difficult.
- Q: Has anyone ever folded 1000 paper cranes? If so did your wish come true? If it did come true what did you wish for? :) Thanks so much!
- I know of someone who did. They did it as a fundraiser for a village school. They folded the cranes while working on the project, though, so I guess the lesson there is that you can make your own luck. The cranes look beautiful, though!
- Q: Is there a talk show on the radio or TV similar to the Frasier Crane Show where people call in and tell their problems and the doctor gives them advice? One that's either in the Los Angeles area or nationally syndicated?
- Here's okorder /
- Q: I need to know exactly how much weight they can lift also how much do they weight?how long is thier life-time?in what temprature they can work?does mosture do any harm to them?for installation , do they need foundation?the exact height and width?
- You need to be more specific. The lifting capacities for container cranes varies significantly, as does any other crane. Some of the variation is based purely on load (horsepower) availability; some is based on speed (rpm) for lift/drop portions of the cycle. Cranes like these operate year-round, at ports all over the world. Some ports have average ambient temperatures in the range of 45 C, with highs up to 60 C. Others can be as low an average as 10 C, with a low peak as much as -50 C. Moisture will, over the long haul, harm them - they're metal constructs, and thus are prone to oxidation. Using corrosion-resistant materials and/or coatings will certainly prolong their usable lifespan. The crane drives (electric motors and power electronics) are also susceptible to moisture and other contaminants. All true dockside cranes require some sort of permanent foundation; it's usually part of the pier construction itself. However, there are portable cranes that operate without one. There is also more than one crane manufacturer out there - all will have their trade secrets that will make each look a little different than the rest. It will generally also reflect in their operation parameters, and in their expected life cycle.
- Q: i really need help
- Influenced by Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, Crane believed that people’s actions were determined by environmental factors rather than by conscious choices on their part. He believed also that conflict was the crucible in which human development occurred, and thus was attracted to the violent and seamy aspects of human experience.
