Q: What is the brand for the tower crane converter?
A: Normally, more than 10t series tower crane is equipped with converter. The selected converter includes SCHNEIDER, SIMENS, YASKAWA…it could be selected as per clients’ request.
Q: What kind of steel used for tower crane?
A: Normally, as for the main force bearing steel structure, Q345B is adopted; as for the assistance force bearing steel structure Q235B is adopted. All of the raw material is outsourced from qualified steel factory in China.
Q: What is the function of the monitor?
A: Monitor, namely inspection system (like black box), which could store 10000 tower crane operation reports, and it is recommended to be installed in big cranes more than 16t.

- The top sections of the mast beneath the crane are removed one at a time and lowered to the ground. The top section of the crane has hydraulic rams that lower it down one mast section at a time. It is hard to describe without a diagram or photos. See photos at attached link. In some design, the jacking portion is at ground level. The crane jacks itself up so a 20' section of the mast can be unbolted and slide out. Then the jack is lowered so the process can be repeated. There are cranes that need another crane and that is the the ones used in the center of new skyscrapers where they build a hoist on top of the building to add to the length of the main crane.
