- Q: I can paint extremelly awesome landscapes, but if it ever includes water I can't pull it off so well and it throws my whole painting off. So I was wondering if anyone had some advice or techniques?
- The key to painting water is to remember that it reflects the colors round it. . . and under it. So the rocks and sand and vegetation have an influence on the color, the shoreline and the sky both reflect in waves and on water. Just google how to paint water and you will find some great websites and instructions on this very task. I have spent year studying water, from how waves reflect to how to paint ripples. I find pastels as a good medium for doing water. . . . Remember, all water will be level, so you have to be sure your lakes and ponds do not appear to be going down hill. Also, unless it is still, and the sky is very blue, water is not all blue. In fact I have painted some landscapes without putting blue anywhere in the water . . . as some water is green, some brown or red, and some if it is even pink, if it is a sunset! I often do the water first, so the plants and stuff along water's edge can overlap it so it doesn't look pasted on. And remember that a body of water will not reflect the exact same colors or even values on its entire surface equally . . . some beginning artist make the mistake of painting water (and even sky) in homogenous tones and hues. . . . Take pictures of water whenever you can and zoom in on your computer to see the details. Then learn which brush strokes, or strokes of the pastel stick, will give you the best impression of what you see. I love painting water. . . struggling with trees right now!
- Q: We painted our living room with Kilz low odor paint today. Now I have a horrible headache, nausea, and my neck is hurting. Could the paint fumes be the cause?
- It could be. Open doors and windows for ventilation, and get out of the house for awhile if you need to.
- Q: Does the company lay off the painter?
- The employer shall, in accordance with the provisions of the safety supervision and administration department and the health administrative department of the State Council, organize the occupational health examination before and during the post and leave the work, and inform the laborer in writing of the results of the inspection. The The occupational health check fee is borne by the employer.
- Q: Painting a blue car hood black just a example. So just paint it without using sandpaper to remove paint if thats how they remove it
- Hello! For those who really don't need to (or with no trouble are not able to for anything reason)strip the entire old stain off, that you could just sand the desk WITH the grain (follow the grain of the wood) using rather fine sand paper. What you are trying to accomplish is to make the surface porous so the paint will stick to the desk, if you don't, the paint will effectively crack and ultimately chip off. I normally suggest towards painting real timber, 'cuz if you do, that you would be able to under no circumstances get that customary appear again. You could ask anyone at dwelling Depot or Ace Hardware for endorse, they're very informed and willing to reply any questions you've got!! Goooood good fortune!
- Q: Can acrylic paint be painted on a leather bag?
- There are special leather paint or dye - basically leather color can be divided into dyes and pigments: the former can penetrate into the leather, and fully retain the leather surface texture and touch; the latter is attached to the surface of the leather to form a film The The former is divided into salt and alcohol dyes; the latter sub-oil and resin two categories ... ... general leather coloring dye, easy to buy a color 80ml 10 or so.
- Q: Paint composition and manufacturing process
- Paint mainly consists of four parts: film-forming substances, pigments, solvents, additives.
- Q: I painted my room over winter break a few months ago, and if I ever get my nail against it or touch anything to it, the paint chips right off. The paint looks normal on my wall, but it just basically falls right off if I nick it. I got Sherwin Williams paint.Does anyone know why this is happening?
- Your paint didn't stick and there can be several reasons. . .Did you paint the same type of paint. If you put latex paint over oil paint, it will not stick. When you painted, were the walls clean? And I have flat paint in my bedroom and that is the worst. Looks so good but it does come off easily and it can't be washed. I'm going to solve that when I paint next time and I'm going to use a latex paint with a satin finish. I don't know what you painted over. Some things need to be sealed. . .like concrete block. . .or the moisture comes through and the paint bubbles off. You might do well to have a talk with SW. They usually have pretty good advice but expensive paint.
