- I have a Kenmore Canister with a HEPA filter I love it! I don't need to worry about finding the right replacement bags ever again, I just rinse out the canister (not the filter though) with water to clean it. I also like that I empty the canister more often than I would replace a bag in a regular upright, so in my mind, it's a little cleaner :) Dyson's seem like an amazing vacuum as well, but has a price tag thats out of my range.

- Q:I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. - Bagless vacums do not work. I have this thing about dirt myself. I use the Kenmore Pogressive / True Hepa. It is a canister vacum which at first I was not crazy about but after getting used to pulling it around I love it. The suction is great. I vacum my whole house with it once a week. I was surprised to see how much I really get out of my house when I change the bag. My house does not even get as dusty as it would if I swept the floor. I have had bagless before and this vacum for $350.00 is great!!!! Now there are the one's that cost $1500 to $1800 or more that work but you still need to clean out the parts to keep it working properly. Bagless vacums have filters too that wind up leaking. If you have the room wet-vacs are probably the best vacum on the planet. But everything needs to be cleaned in order to work properly and last. I like my Kenmore because I can throw the bag away and I rinse out the inside filter a few times to make it last and I get wonderful results with it. I bought it a Sears.

- I have an old Hoover from Wal-Mart that I bought fifteen years ago for the job. It's cleaned perhaps a thousand homes, I've replaced the belt a dozen times, the roller maybe a dozen times, it runs like a champ. I purchased a Orek XL and, it's a pile of crap. The vacuum will be more powerful, so it's preferred, the only trouble is that in order to make sure you don't re-infect with more dust than before is to use a water based machine, such as a rainbow. I highly recommend that you DO NOT use typical filter/bag based machines with electronic equipment. Anyway, once you have your air-duster of choice, use an extended paperclip to reach into the vent and hold the fan still. Blow from one side, so that the air pressure forces the dust out the other side of the vent. Depending on the make of your laptop, it's often advantageous to simply take it apart for a good cleaning every 3 months or so.

- Q:I am in a market for a new vacuum cleaner. I have selected two models and there are two main differences between them: price and HEPA filtration. One with sealed HEPA costs $200 more than the one using HEPA 12 filtration. We have two dogs and no one in our family suffers from allergies. Would sealed HEPA filtration justify spending $200 more on a vacuum?Thanks.
- Well the sealed would keep in more allergens and dust. The non sealed would would suck in allergens but spit them back into the air or at least most of them. I would recommend checking with people you know that you would consider inviting into your house and ask them if they are allergic to dust or allergens. Now i would recommend the shark navigator to you because it costs just under 200 dollars and has anti allergen technology to lock in dust and never loses suction. Now what they say on the commercials are true our family owns one and it is true. i have seen an improvement in my allergies. it also has free shipping and handling.so i would hope this helps.bye
