- Q: I was wondering why my vacuum cleaner was leaving trails of crap all over the place... so I flipped it upside down when it was on, and it turns out it does vacuum (quite powerfully, at that) but all the crap gets shot out of another part of the bottom! - Agreed with the others. You definitely need to empty the bag or bin container completely and change the filter (or wash it, depending on which vacuum cleaner you have). Check that there are no blockages anywhere. What make/model do you have?

- You clearly do not understand the nature of that which you speak. You are insisting in applying human terms to that which is not human. On human terms space is a vacuum, which by definition contain nothing. But in physics terms space is a something through which all things, including energies, must pass. In this case space can indeed be bent by a sufficiently large gravitational force. When this happens anything which passes through this space will follow a curved path with respect to the curvature of the space but will follow a straight path with respect to itself. - Q: Who makes the best vacuum cleaner - DYSON or ORECK? and why?
- To be honest I have an Oreck and although I do love it, I had just vacuumed my floors when a salesman from Kirby came to my door and it was incredible the amount of dirt that it picked up, AFTER I had just vacuumed with my Oreck. i don't have any experience with Dyson although the turnoff with that for me was the fact that you have to send it out to have any repairs on it, including the belt changed. I think if you can afford it the kirby is your best bet, if not then the Oreck. Also just a tip. If you do go with the Kirby, talk the salesperson down, they went lower with my twice with interest free financing for a year after I kept saying that I couldn't afford it. Unfortunately I wasn't lying so I didn't buy it but would if I could.

- the Tools from my DC 17 DO fit 1.25 vac hoses but honestly if you are looking for a hard floor tool there are much better ones for cheaper than the Dyson, I would go to your nearest vacuum store and ask about a horsehair floor brush most of them should have one try to get one with a castle cut brush meaning it has small gaps between the brush in the front this will aid in picking up larger particles. If you do decide to go for the dyson one just make sure it's not a canister accesory i know the DC 11s tools are different and don't fit 1.25 hoses

- You need to explain this better, it makes no sense as it is. edit: no way to know exactly. Voltage alone tells you nothing. But the power used (in watts) could be a guide, if you have that number, in watts. 1400 mA-hour is a measure of the charge stored in the battery, so that is no help, as you need a time number to convert that to mA, which, with the voltage, can give you power in watts. My experience is that hand held vacuum cleaners are all very feeble.
