- Q: have headlights?
- On a riding lawn mower, so you can see obstructions if you are cutting under a shady tree, or bush. Commercial lawn maintenance people cut grass before the sun comes up at five in the morning for federal buildings. The light on the vacuum cleaner is handy yet again for seeing when vacuuming under a desk or table where the lighting is dim.
- Q: Or does it have to be replaced when it gets dirty ?Even if it can't be washed using water, could I use one of my other vacuum cleaners to vacuum off the dirt ?
- I'm assuming you no longer have the instructions that came with it? Google the make and model number there should be onlilne instructions. I've washed vacuum cleaner filters before, but they usually don't work as well after.
- Q: what brand do you recommend? I have 900 sq ft of carpet. I might replace the carpet with tiles. how long can a small vacuum like that work without engine getting too hot and shut down?is it expensive to maintaing?
- I have cleaned a lot of peoples homes that have had different brands of the robot vacuums and I must say that none of them work very well. They get stuck easily and don't pick up the dirt all that well. My vacuum bag would be filled with dirt right after the robot cleaned the room. I have had several people tell me that the battery does not last that long, with the robot returning to the docking station after only cleaning area of carpet. They do work slightly better on hard wood.
- Q: I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
- I just brought home a new DC15 Animal. My first impression while unpacking was that the plastic felt very cheap and flimsy. This was for the main upright vacuum as well as the attachments. After turning it on and cleaning a very small section of the floor I was quite surprised by what was picked up. The carpet needed vacuuming, so I wasn't at all surprised by the dirt. Much of what accumulated in the canister was carpet fiber, even after a second or third cleaning. So much in fact, that I have to question whether it is causing damage to the carpet, not just removing loose fibers. This was on a pile type carpet, there was very little fiber after vacuuming a berber carpet. Releasing the support wheels to activate the brush is somewhat awkward. Hopefully I'll get more used to it and this won't be an issue. I'm optimistic that it will work well, but time will tell...

- Q: I have waited a year or so to finally get my hands on a hand vacuum cleaner because my mom said we needed to get a good one. Well she finally bought one, but she only bought it because it was ON SALE. I don't know much about hand vacuum cleaners, except this one SUCKS.It's by Sunbeam and it's called quot;Star Elite.It doesn't have a lot of power, only has a small opening to collect dirt etc (1quot;x 1cm) and is horrible at picking up stray pieces of hair. It only also works for 15 minutes and then it has to be charged for 15 hours.The main problem out of all that I have is the lack of power and horribly ability to pick up stray hair off the ground.Does anyone know a hand vacuum cleaner that is certainly better than this?

- Dogs hearing is different then ours they hear sounds that w can not and the way we hear the sound of the vacume seems harmless when in fact we scare our pets.
- Q: How efficient are vacuum cleaners in preventing the dust and other dirt that they suck from escaping through the air outlet. I'm using a Khind branded wet and dry vaccum cleaner model VC 3661, priced about USD 60, manufactured in 2004. The type that is shaped like a bucket and has its air outlet facing upwards and a removable, washable cotton bag inside. I notice that it has only two layers (slices) of dark -colored Sponge like material when I remove the air outlet cover. Is that sufficient to prevent dust, dirt and most importantly bacteria from coming out form the cleaner itself. It could be releasing the bacteria and spreading it all over the place.

- Q: how is bagless an improvement over the old fashioned vacuum cleaners with bags? I hate having to deal with the filth that comes out of the bagless machines. What was wrong with the bags? Am I missing something here?
- Bagless vacuum cleaners give individuals another option or choice if you will, in the type of equipment that is used in the cleaning of their homes, businesses, etc. One man's food is another man's poison. What works for you, will not necessarily work for me. Is there a right Good or bad? Not necessarily, I don't think. Personally, I prefer the bag. Worked in my moms and grandmas house in years gone by, and it works for me today. How about the circular robot vacuum? Have a great day!
- Q: I am looking to replace a vacuum cleaner. I have had several Hoover Windtunnels and just purchased and returned a Bissell Pet Vac. I have five dogs and three cats and have been going thru vacuum cleaners about every two years. I am considering spending a bit more money hoping to have a vacuum last longer and was looking into the Dyson. I hate to blindly spend that kind of money on something when all of the reviews are from people who haven't had theirs very long. I am looking for people who have had their Dyson 4 or more years and I am interested in the good, the bad and the ugly. I am looking into the DC07 animal and the DC17 absolute animal. Please only serious responses from owners who meet the above mention criteria.Thanks!!
- Good one! :-P I did accidently!!! I was coming home with my vacume I just had repaired, it was a Hoover. The other car I had at the time was a hatch back. well, the clip on it had broken and I was traveling down the highway back home when the back flew open and my vacume took off, hit the ground........................ I was driving like 60 on that freeway and looking out my rear view window at my horror, the poor thing was sparking all over the place and other cars were dodging it in it's pass as it was litterly cruising backwards at high speed! I sincerely hope it didn't cause any accidents but I could have been cited for that. Nevertheless, I had the back door fixed and have a different car now. As for the poor Hoover, it went to the BIG Pearly gates in the sky!!!!!!!!!!!! :-( +(
