- Q: I am trying to hook up a LCD display (CPU Temp, USB's in use, Memory Temp/usage, etc) and It came with a 5pin DIN connector for what I assume is the power. I am not sure what I need to do to connect it to the PSU. Any help or ideas?

- Old power supplies had all the cables branching out like a rat's nest. Newer PSUs with modular cabling let you pick which cables you want, instead of having them all stuffed in there and not using some.
- Q: I'm running a 3ghz ecs p965t with 2gb of RAM, and I'm trying to install an XFX 8800GT. First time I tried it, it didn't power on at all, and I figured it might be the power supply (mine was a 350w) so I tried a friend's 450w, still no power. So I went out and bought a 500w, and STILL no power. Wierder still, if I leave the card plugged into the board but don't plug in the power connector, it makes a long high-pitched wailing sound but the system does power itself.I'm assuming it must be a problem with the card itself, but does anyone have any other possibilities I could try before negotiating a replacement in PC World?
- I think its the card. This is not uncommon. Card sounds DOA. Exchange it. 500 watts is good, the others are not, but lack of power would not kill a card, I don't believe. good luck. 8800GT is a sweet card, thats what I have, I play at 1920x1080 and get between 40 and 60 FPS in far cry 2 and great frames in oblivion maxed out. I get around 30 in crysis on high.
- Q: I installed a new Power supply after my old one stopped working. I bought a Thermaltake TR2 500W. I connected everything that needed to be connected but it would not turn on. Then i disconnected the 4pin cable that goes to the motherboard, and it turned on. But my monitor didn't detect anything so it just went into quot;sleep modequot;. So every time i connect the 4 pin PCI-E connection to the motherboard it just doesn't turn on. Please help
- You might have a DOA power supply or motherboard. It might just have problems with the connections. Sounds like the problem is the motherboard if 2 power supplies dont work on it. I would consider getting a new motherboard.

- Check your exact model 750 Ti. Some don't require a 6-pin connector while some do.

- No, you can use the power cable for a computer on the PS3. It is a standard shape and can be purchased from any good computer shop. The PS2 uses a transformer and the pin alignment is different. Just get a proper cable, they are really cheap anyway.
- Q: Im going to get a new graphics card. I am getting the XFX Geforce 9800 GT and it needs 1 six pin PCI Express power cable. It comes with a cable to convert 2 molex cables into 1 six pin pci power cable. Problem is, is that dont have any molex cables available. I have 4 SATA power cables. So if I got a converter to convert 2 SATA power cables into 2 Molex cables into 1 six pin power cable work? Would I lose any voltage/ watts? - Given that your PSU has enough power to run the card... I think it might work. However, how can you be out of Molex cables? That makes me think you have a weak PSU.

- you can get little velcro ties for like $3 for 50. learn how to coil cables correctly (most pros use under/over) and then secure them with the velcro strip (I like to keep the velcro at the male end of the XLR cables so it's not danglight around on the mike end) and then they should be kept pretty well organized even if you just throw them in a backpack or something

- Any standard power cable will run you new rig. You'll need to check whether the 2 cords on your shelf have the correct fuse rating (probably 13A) in the plug.
