- Q:I'm wanting to find seat cover tutorials to for sofa and rocking chair. Does anyone have a tutorial that they like to share? I have a book, but they only show pillows, and blankets. But nothing about seat covers. Any ideas?

- Q:I know a loveseat is a small sofa that seats two, but is there a name for a longer sofa that bottom-wise, seats two? I'm picturing a long sofa that has two upright cushions and two seat cushions, where width-wise and elbow-wise, three people fit fine, but one of them would be sitting in the middle where the cushions meet. - Q:I just gotta a new sofa bed today. And about 10 minutes ago I was trying to get it into my room. It just so happens that it won't go through my door way. Ok well it would fit through my doorway but it wont turn into my bedroom from the hallway because i have a small hallway.
- Some of the suggestions you already have are pretty good, especially the upright attempt. But measure carefully first, the only suggestion I can add is to remove the legs. I do upholstery, the legs should be attached to the frame with screws, so check and see, then carefully remove (make sure you put all the screws into a baggie or other container so they don't disappear. Removing the legs should make the profile of the sofa narrower, so if you can slip it in upright, that will give you a few less inches in width, then when its in the room, all you have to do is re-attach the legs. Hope this helps.

- White walls will go with a green sofa and make the room look brighter but it will also make it look kind of simple if that is what you are looking for. Home depot has a computer where you can pick a color and room and I believe furniture to see how your place will look before you buy the paint. Good luck!
- Q:Hey Iv just moved into a few flat and the sofa is VERY low, and the cushions are all squished in. I was wondering is there anything that cheap that I could do to even make the cushions firmer and higher? I cant afford to replace the sofa! :) xx
- You could raise the sofa by placing concrete blocks under all 4 corners. Then get some boards cover them in fabric or paint them or stain them place them like a skirt under the 3 sides of the sofa. You could even give it an industrial look by using metal sheets or gridwork. As for the cushions, you don't say if they're attached or loose. If they're loose, hopefully they're zippered. In which case you will go to a fabric store buy some dacron sheets wrap the cushions with the sheets using a spray glue so it doesn't shift. Use a dry cleaning bag over the cushion to get it to slide easily back into the cover. Using dacron will probably be a lot less expensive than buying new foam cores, but look into that also - just find an upholstery outlet in your area. You can also just put boards under your cushions, but that will just feel firm, not more comfortable. If your cushions are attached there isn't much you can do. You can always look for a sofa on craigslist, but just be sure that you disinfect it.

- If you like to sew and are pretty good at it... maybe you would like to just make a slip cover? I would go to the library and check out some books on reupholstering.... depending on the style it might be hard. My mom made a slip cover to cover the body of her sofa and then sewed pillow case around the loose pillows so it didn't look like a slip cover (like one piece of fabric draped over it.)
- Q:I really want to love this bed. It is quite comfortable yet I have one problem with it. Since it has two mattresses in order to fold into a couch, one always becomes higher than the other, resulting in me having a very frustrating time trying to sleep. Without actually seeing the problem it is a little difficult to diagnose at a distance. Before a repair is possible. The cause must be determined.
