Q: Why gas stations can not call the phone?
A mobile phone is a radio communication tool that emits radiated radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic radiation) that can cause radio antennas to sense radio frequency currents.
Q: If the deal goes through and ATT acquires T-Mobile USA, will ATT customers have access to T-Mobile phones (HTC HD7, G2) and T-Mobile customers have access to ATT phones (iPhone, HTC Inspire)?I'm a current ATT customer with the iPhone 4, but I want a nice Android or WebOS smartphone.
they will endorse phones specifically for the provider you should have more choice
Q: can u tell me some sites which mentions prices of mobile phones ? i do not want sites that enable shopping. just the list of phones and prices.
There are lots of prices for mobile phones. Here in the Philippines, the prices for brand new phones are about PhP3,000 to PhP60,000. If you would be ok with secondhand phones, you can have them for PhP500 to PhP50,000. It depends on the condition of the phone and its model
Q: I just don't understand the methods of payment, plus its so expensive and I do not understand how everyone manages to afford a mobile phone ,just even making a few seconds they take of more than 50p off , Im on o2 I heard thats the cheapers but I was wondering what is cheap ?I know nothing on mobiles I one , and it was a very cheap one it cost 20.00 quid I was wondering which phone is good and which company makes low cost calls as possible
OK, it's either a prepay deal, or a monthly bill. Prepay is probably easier for you to manage. You decide what you'll spend; say $5, ?10, whatever. Then you go into a shop or use an ATM and pay that amount upfront, before you ring anyone. You now have credit of 5, 10, whatever, until you use it up by making calls or sending texts. The calls will each cost more, so keep them brief : ) Many networks have a deal where if you are Prepay and run out of credit, you can text a friend or parent for free to call you instead. Monthly deals mean that the calls you make are cheaper, each. You agree to pay say ?30 per month for maybe 100 minutes, ringing people. If you make calls and stay on for longer than 100 minutes that month, the price of the call goes up a lot per extra minute, and they bill you for more than ?30. If you use less than 100 minutes, you still pay that ?30. You can ask them to recommend you a deal based on how many minutes you spend on the phone so that you get it right. How do people afford a mobile? They text each other instead of making calls. They buy their kids a prepay phone so they can only use what credit they have at the time, and don't commit to spending a set amount every month. Many networks (O2, Vodaphone) will give you a welcome deal when you sign up with them; maybe 50 free text messages for the first 3 months. These can be free only if you text other O2 customers, for example. Or they offer deals if you get others to sign up with that company. For a year. You should ask most of your friends which company they are with, as it might suit you. But you don't need to be a salesperson for them if not! Also, most will give you free call credit if you buy a new mobile - or even a new SIM card, from them. They might give you $10 worth of credit each month for the next 8 months, for example.

Q: I am thinking about purchasing an unlocked Palm which runs on Windows Mobile. I don't think it comes with AIM. I guess I would download it from the website. My question is, if I do -- will AIM then run in the background when my phone is on standby/off or will I only receive messages when my phone is active?
If your phone is on standby and you're logged in, you will be alerted. If your phone is fully powered off, you will not (unless you tweak the settings around to allow the application to turn on your phone). You can customize a lot on the Windows Mobile phones just depends on how much time you have to learn the steps and procedures to make it work the way you want it to.
Q: I am 13 years old. I have not yet made up my mind what to get this Christmas - a mobile phone or psp.
a mobile phone is going to give you a monthly billa psp is an upgrade nightmare.whoever pays the cell phone bill gets a credit check etcbut I'm pretty sure it's mom and dad in your casedepends on what your needs area psp is more of a game instrument but it's also an internet device w/ the right upgrades and a movie/music player etcthe right cell phone can do music and some limited vid recordingits up to what your personal needs/likes/dislikes areif your all into music then a cell might be your ticketbut if you want to play games as well then a psp might spin yayou gotta weigh the odds
Q: I just got a new mobile phone contract today and its my first one :)i got it of t-mobile and i was wondering if anyone knows how long it is until you can start using your texts and minutes of your contract?? like can you start using them straight away or do you have to wait a few days? cos i checked my balance on my phone and it said zero, but i'm not sure if that's just because it is the middle of the monthcan anybody tell me :D ha ha x
If you bought your contract today you should be able to use the phone straight away but sometimes it's not as smooth as that. You might have to register online and check that a payment has gone to T-Mobile, or sometimes the network just wants you to register before you can use your phone. It can sometimes take sometime for your balance to come through. When I got my contract it took about 5 days to start because there were some technical problems. If your balance doesn't increase within 2 days, ring T-Mobile.
Q: I had a boost mobile phone a long time ago and ive heard its changed now but im not sure. i just want to know if it still takes forever to open a text message or send one because that does get really annoying and im not gonna get one if it is still like that
I'm joining the club as well. Haven't been able to receive texts since about 9:30 this morning haven't been able to send any out since then as well. Can still receive phone calls get on the internet. Just called VM Customer Service heard the pre-recorded message as well. What a huge pain in the butt this is.
Q: i was convicted in court for using mobile phone while driving and had to pay a fine and 3 point in my driving licence in UK. i am going to run CRB check recently. do you think my CRB check will be clean?
