Q: Hi, Do you know of any companies which offer mobile phone insurance in USA? My Carrier Cingular does have mobile phone insurance but does not cover my PDA phone?
Yes, Sprint offers it. Once you buy a Sprint phone and they will ask you if you want insurance. At first, I didn't understand, so I said no. Then the salesperson told me that it is a good idea just in case the phone breaks. At first, Sprint will mailed the exact same phone I had and I had to pay shipping charges. Now they are giving you the phone in the store if there is something wrong with the phone you have. All you have to do is pay a small nominal fee each month with your phone bill.
Q: I was planning on buying a cell phone from t-mobile, the motorola cliq xt. i was gonna buy the phone with a 2 year contract since it's cheaper, but i noticed the cheapest plan is $39.99. I also noticed that once i click the plan, it brings me to a services page where it says required services are android and T-Mobile Android Unlimited Web. do i REALLY need the unlimited web plan or can i just buy the phone/39.99 plan? the unlimited web plan is $30 alone so it would cost 69.99/month. this is my first phone with an actual plan(currently mine is pre-paid), so i don't know much about them. thanks for any input!
i recommend staying with prepaid. with that said, yes, most of there phones require an unlimited data plan for 30 dollars. and it's not just t-mobile that requires it, verizon is the same way. i say it's just another way for phone companies to get more money. i have straight talk and i love it. it's prepaid and it runs on the verizon network so it has great service. for 30 dollars a month you get 1,000 minutes, 1,000 text/picture messages and 30 MB of data or for 45 dollars a month you get unlimited everything. there's no roaming fees. unlimited calls to 411 at no extra charge, where on other providers it could cost any where from 1.29 to 1.99 for a 411 call. but that's up to you. i have had service with verizon postpaid, t-mobile, tracfone, net10, straight talk, verizon prepaid, t-mobile prepaid, u.s. cellular postpaid and i have to say prepaid wins. contracts really suck. yes the phones are nicer, but unless you pay full retail for the phone and not sign a contract, i don't recommend going with a postpaid account. good luck deciding.
Q: I'm currently with Verizon right now and I have a Blackberry. I have a really cute Samsung phone too that I used when I was with T-mobile. If my blackberry ever dies or something like that, can I use the samsung phone?
interior the final couple of months, service carriers are switching sport. Verizon instantaneous, are a ok service no longer the terrific. Cingular has sturdy reception, purely relies upon whast telephone you get. T cellular has sturdy service and suited customer help skills! yet enormous apple far the terrific one now could be sprint. They spend 30million on their community, and quickly to be taking Cingulars spot.
Q: I had a t mobile phone but it broke and i was wondering if i could buy one of those and just put the SIM card from my old phone in it and will it work?
Yesm! That's how you get new phones, they just move the sim card into the other phone. The phone may be locked, if so call the provider and ask for the lock code But it shouldn't.
Q: Does anyone know when or what type of phones virgin mobile will get this years.
smart phones
Q: i really want a t-mobile phone but our family uses att because of my parents' jobs and there is no way we can change to t-mobile unless both my parents quit their jobs!which is not happening! lol but anyways i really like the t-mobile phones and i was wondering how much it costs if i get a t mobile phone and unlock it for att.by the way i need a phone asap so the faster the better! thanks!
you would have to find out from your local att but I am not sure why you would want a t-mobile for att it can get pricey. if you would want a free phone through att check this link and see if I have any for your area.
Q: Does anyone know why I can not post any questions while I am browsing yahoo answers with my mobile?I can get to the screen where I'm typing now and fill in my question but the continue button doesn't work. When I click it nothing happens.I AM LOGGED IN on my mobileI have the samsung jet (S8000)
contact yahoo help desk !
Q: I'm a T-Mobile customer. Is it possible to unlock a new phone that I don't want to EVER use on my T-Mobile account fr free?Basically I bought a new phone without a contract and want to unlock it to give to a friend.
yes, okorder
Q: Can anybody tell me if any of these T-Mobile phones can go on the internet for free through a wi fi connection using a wireless router?Nokia 5310Nokia 5610Nokia 6301Blackberry Pearl 8100Blackberry Pearl 8120Motorola ROKR E8If anyone has tried any of these phones, do any of them have slow internet if they even have it, or do you get a pretty fast, decent connection, or does it just depend on how fast your internet and router is? I've checked the T-Mobile website and tons of other sites and still can't figure it out. If a phone has Hotspot @ home service, then does that guarantee that it can also go on the internet through a wi fi connection using a wireless router for free?
Are these all T-mobile branded phones? If so, going to the Tmobile website should yield you results for each phone. It will specifically say WiFi capable if the phone has such capabilities. Off the top of my head, the Blackberry Pearl 8120 is the only one I know that has WiFi enabled. The 8100 regular does not. Again, you would have to look at each phone specifically and see if it's capable. If these are phones 1year old or more, then chances are they are not. If they're not Tmobile specific phones, you would have to go to the provider's website and look it up. Even if they're not Tmobile phones, you can use WiFi. I have the Blackberry Curve and the internet isn't as FAST as the iPhone but it's still pretty fast. I don't have much waiting times, especially using WiFi. If you subscribe to the Hotspot thingy, you can use the WiFi pretty much in any Tmobile hotspot and the best part is if you make phone calls in those wifi areas, it's FREE. Yup. Doesn't count off your regular minutes plan. And yes it's a guarantee that you'll get wifi if you're subscribed, unless your router dies or something.
Q: I want my documentaries to be playable on the technologies inside home. The television, the videos and others but they can not play the clips directly from my phone .On the converting software what file format do i say that i want my video clips to look like?
Hi Amuoro, and welcome to Y!A Camcorders: You've been asking about this same thing 5 times over the past month in various other Categories, but never have you said WHICH mobile phone model # you have. Different phones shoot video in different file formats (.3GP, .3GP2, .MP4, etc.). And you need to tell us what kind of computer you have. Editing transcoding (converting) video on a Mac is different than on a Windows PC. One important point, in your Question headline you say you want your phone videos to equal those of bigger camcorders. Most phones do not have the video quality to equal the quality of a bigger camcorder, but you can at least convert them to play normally on a television or YouTube / Netflix style media player. If you want to show or distribute your videos using DVD, then the final video format will be MPEG-2 (or you can use MPEG-4 encoding for Blu-ray HD). But this encoding step is usually handled by the DVD authoring software (Roxio, Nero, iDVD, etc.). For just online distribution viewing (YouTube, etc.), you have a wider choice of video formats for uploading. Since you are relatively new to Yahoo!Answers, you might not know that you can Update your Question using the Additional Details link on the Action Bar below your Question text. Just mouse-over the blue pencil icon Edit menu, and add the details about your phone and computer. This discussion will remain open for at least 4 days, for us to reply. hope this helps, --Dennis C.
