Q:Hi all,I've been looking on Amazon at the Samsung Galaxy S phone the description is ' Samsung I9000 Galaxy S Sim Free Mobile Phone 'I was thinking of buying this phone but I'm a bit unsure if it would work once I got it.Question 1: What exactly does Sim-Free mean? I thought initially it was that the phone was open to any network not locked but after reading some posts I am still a bit unsure.Question 2: How can I tell if this phone is locked or unlocked, I live in Spain so it would go on to a spanish network. When I came to Spain with my unlocked phone I just changed the sim card to a Spanish one and it worked.So really I'm just wanting to know if I buy it that I can just put my sim-card in and it will work.Thanks

Q:I have a t-mobile cell phone and since I returned home from vacation Sunday, I have noticed that my phone now says ATT as its service, not 'T-mobile.' I haven't done anything to my phone, and have no idea why this is happening! A few of my friends who live next door also have T-mobile and have the same thing happening. What's even more odd is we have far better service now (even though ATT has horrible service in this area- New York's Hudson Valley).Any idea as to why this is may be occurring?

It just means you're connecting to an ATT tower instead of to a T-Mobile one. Sometimes that happens because there's an issue with the T-Mobile tower and your phone can't connect to it. (Like if they're working on it right then or it's just busted, which seems to happen often.) If it's giving you better service, that's awesome, so don't bother to ask T-Mobile to put you back on their towers (tech support can do that I think). Roaming on other towers is included on T-Mobile so it's not going to affect your bill at all.

im not sure about the iphone coming out with a new one this year but one thing for sure is sony ericsson xperia x1 is using WM maybe version 7.0 also an interesting phone to look out for would be samsung f480, nice touch on the interface. and theres also the nokia n96, which is going to be loaded with features again, unfortunately, the UI of the Symbian s60 is kind of boring now compared to xperia and f480.

Q:I have a lg rumour phone since January and it recently dropped from my pocket. The phone itself works its just the screen or something in the screen cracked. It looks like the screen when I broke my laptop. I'm currently on a 2 year plan at Virgin. Can I replace my phone for another one? ur on virgin mobile canada? well i guess u are. well if your phone doesn't have a sim card then it doesn't work with the GSM/HSPA phones. the phones like iphone,blackberry. are ones that use sims cardsalso the sim card will not work on other companies if u wanna get data off ur phone then u would use memory card. i am not sure if the lg rumour has MicroSD slots if u had the phone in january i doubt u can get a upgrade of any kind. i am pretty sure ull have to pay full price for it for a new lg rumor. also, the phone has warranty still BUT there is physical damage and usually people get denied new phones because they think you did the damage on purpose. which sucks all i can say is go to virgin mobile and ask if they can give u under the manufacturer warranty a new phone(i hope so) but thye might deny you as i mentioned about physical damage.
