- Q: I am looking for some answers when it comes to soldering wires. Lets say I am using 6 to10 (22 AWG 2 conductor wires) and I want to solder those to 1 wire for power source and 1 wire for ground. Now lets say soldering 10 wires to 1 wire for power and 10 wires to 1 wire for ground. All the wires are the same AWG guage. Now that the wires are twisted together and soldered to the hot and ground source, by doing this will I actually make a resistor or change the amperage or reduce the voltage by soldering so much wires together to a 1 wire source? The power source I am using is 12 Volts. If anyone knows of anywhere I can find this information online, etc, I would appreciate it.
- it will effect the voltage because it will split the power 10 defferent ways. i dont know any website that will tell you this but there is a tester that you can get to test the voltage. thats how i found out.
- Q: What is the best brand of wire to use for getting power to my amp?
- Need info on the amp to make that call. ONe thing is for sure monster cable is a huge rip off and 10 gauge wire is not thick enough for an amp power cable. For around 800 watts or less 8 gauge will be good enough. The thicker the wire the better the performance. Almost all wire is essentially the same, its the gauge that is important. (0 is thickest, 10 thinner, 20 even thinner etc.) Good Luck
- Q: Ceiling fan has a black wire, white wire, green wire and also a black and white wire.
- Black + White, sounds like a 3 wire cable with ground. It will carry power. Black, power Black and white, power White, neutral Green, grounding. One of the wires with power will power the lights. The other powers the motor for the fan.
- Q: I own a 1990 Toyota 4runner 6cyl, 3L. it had a few performance issues when i bought it. ( just didnt seem to have any power idling at around 200), so before spending money on expensive items, i figured spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. So i just changed the spark plug wires today, and immediatly the truck was runnin much better idling at 800-1000 , about 5 minutes into driving, the problem started again, i parked the truck, it was idling at 200-300 again, opened the hood saw a bit of smoke coming from one of the wires, so im hoping and assuming it was just smoking because the wire was touching a hot surface, i can hear a bit of a clicking noise that i dont remember hearing before, almost like a spark. what could cause the sudden problem, is it possible the wires could be connected to the wrong spark plugs ( i replaced the old ones one by one, so i know i didnt connect it wrong) any tips would be great
- in case you seem on the wires at night you will see them arc on the hours of darkness what form of wires are you employing u want the terrific ones for that motor vehicle what does Toyota say approximately you situation you are able to desire to have yet another situation because of the fact this in no way has been a situation till now what have you ever no longer carried out that could desire to be carried out the race type wires could desire to splendid your situation get them a velocity save and ask for there opinion the radiator sounds love it extremely is stopped up so., while replaced into the final time you flushed the device thoroughly as reported by employing Toyota it extremely is a ninety two and that makes it 15 years old 08 are out now.what form of plugs are you putting interior the engine right here lower back basically the terrific will artwork reliable success
- Q: Would any body please let me know about Bank Wire and Bank Transfer system?
- A bank wire is a telegram wiring cash money to a third party, usually directly into the bank account of the receiver. It is expensive, costing about $30 for a domestic wire and $45-50 for an international wire. The bank transfer system is a pre-approved electronic bank transfer from your account to the receivers account and is almost instanteneous and cheap (pennies, not dollars).
- Q: we need to know how an electrical wire is measured. When you say for example a stranded tw wire 2mm2 does it mean 2mm square or 2 square mm meaning the area of the wire? does the measurement or size indicated in the insulation includes the insulation itself when measuring the wire? how about a stranded wire? basically the question is please explain the size of thw or tw wire stranded or solid wire indicated on the insulation. And how it is measured. does the insulation included in the measurement or just the copper wire inside that is measured.
- The diameter of the conductor is generally going to be given in either gauge (AWG) or square millimeters. This is describing the size of the electrical conductor only, not including the outer insulation. Most wire specs will also include a measurement for O.D., which is outer diameter or overall diameter. This measurement will include all insulation and jacketing, and will be the total diameter of the cable. Stranded wires will be specified in terms of the overall gauge of the wire. For instance, a 22 AWG stranded wire might be marked as: 22 AWG (7x30) which means it's a 22 AWG stranded wire, made up of 7 strands of 30 AWG solid wire. See link below for more info, and conversions between AWG and square mm.
- Q: my light stopped working ( a chandalier ). It has brown wires, blue wires, red wires, beige wires, and white wires.
- If you have an Ohmmeter you can trace the chandelier wiring out. Each socket in the chandelier has two connections, the threaded part of the base and the very bottom of the base. The safest way to wire it is to run the hot to the bottom of the base and the neutral to the threaded part of the socket. Anyway you should be able to ohm each wire out to see where they go, then hook all the wires going to the bottom together and to the black wire in the junction box, then all the wired going to the threaded connection together and to the white wire in the junction box.
- Q: How can it be possible to create a high voltage and have a small gauge wire? Example: 3gj or 3000mw in a small wire (just an example)
- Wire six does not care about voltage, it cares about current. Every wire has a speific Fusing current when it melts or in a coil it burns up the insulation and shorts out.
- Q: Live wire- bring current to appliancesNeutral wire- returns the current from the applianceMy question is, if we are using AC current, then in the next half cycle, the live wire will return the current from the appliance and the neutral wire will bring current to appliances. Am I right? If I’m right, then both wires have the same function why give them different names? Really appreciate your help.
- Actually neutral wire remains at some constant voltage and change in direction of flow of current only occurs in live wire, the voltage live wire at any given time is measured wrt neutral wire, thus neural wire's only function is to provide a reference voltage as u may know voltage is relative, for example if ur home has 110V supply, the neutral wire will remain at some constant voltage all time but live wires voltage will change from plus110V to minus 110V very rapidly depending on frequency of supply....
- Q: i need to make a battery powered light bulb and i have copper wire at home...will it work?
- You must use insulated wire.
