Q:i would like to know what are the best spark plug wires
Stock. 99% of the the time, aftermarket spark plug wires do NOTHING for your vehicle. the last 1%? Is when your plug wires are bad anyways. Unless you have upgraded your plugs, your fuel injection, your coil, your ecu, and every other part that has to do with spark....you will get no benefit at all from changing them.
Q:where does the thin blue wire from the amp go, i know it goes to the stereo but i dont know to what wire
It is connected to the remote signal output of the stereo. This signal activates your amp once you turn on your stereo. Some stereos label them as antenna signal for automatic antennas. Most often it is also the blue wire from the stereo, sometimes the color is blue with white stripe on the side.
Q:I'm trying to wire a Sony L410X stereo to my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500. I don't want to use a wiring harness, so I'm trying to figure out how to splice the wires together. I don't know how to hook the power wires up correctly. Obviously hooking the speakers up will be easy. I've tried looking at the wiring diagram but it seems like on the stereo system diagram it's positive and negative whereas the truck wiring is not identifying the negative wiring, just 12v+ Constant and 12v+ Switching. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
i'm having concern visualizing precisely what you're seeing. If I understand you wisely the wires popping out of the ceiling could be as follows; thick yellow/green cable is maximum probable the ceiling floor and in all hazard linked to the ceiling container via a screw? uncertain relating to the yellow cord, in all hazard useful, however the crimson and blue could be useful and the black adverse. the reason for various wires is your place is in all hazard pre-under pressure for a ceiling fan. many times the blue cord is going to the fan and is controlled via a separate change, and then many times a white or crimson cord for the useful for the gentle; back, controlled via a separate change. Black would desire to consistently be adverse. i do no longer understand why your gentle has such extremely some diverse wires even with the undeniable fact that? many times in elementary terms a favorable and adverse till you have diverse lights you like controlled via diverse switches? perhaps the link below would be extra counsel...
Q:What does the quot;Hstand for in quot;AWG 34Hwire?Also, would Heavy Poly Nylon magnetic wire be considered enameled?
Magnet wire is often called varnished or enameled, but it is actually insulated with a thin coating of insulating material designed specifically for the purpose. I assume that heavy poly nylon material is one of those materials. The H is probably the temperature class of the insulation. Class H insulation is rated to operate at up to 180 degrees C. Edit 1 The H could also stand for heavy as in the heavy build or double build terminology used to describe thicker than standard insulation. It is part of a specific manufacturer's catalog number rather than a part of the American Wire Gauge (AWG) designation. Manufacturer's sell many different varieties of magnet wire. The manufacturer's literature and NEMA or IEC standards provide details regarding the insulation materials used and the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the wire.
Q:alright, 5 speakers with 4ohm svc, what would my wiring options be?
With 5 speakers there won't be a symmetral wiring pattern for even power distribution. With 4 it would be 2 pair in parallel with both sets in series for a 4 ohm final load or all 4 in parallel for a 1 ohm final load.
Q:so there are 3 different wires coming into the switch. 1 black wire and 2 white wires going to the attic fan (i assume one for high and one for low). the power seems to be coming from the black wire which has inside of it, one white wire (neutral) one black wire (hot) and one bare wire (ground).. the same for the 2 white wires. the switch goes up (^) for high and down (v) for low and has 3 places to attach the wires to. the top, the bottom and the middle.. can someone tell me how to wire this damn thing?
I think you are describing NM cables(Romex). What you have is: 1 black romex with a hot(black) a neutral(white) and a bare ground. and 2 white romexs with a black, white, bare each. right so far? What you probably have is the hot and neutral going to the switch j-box (black romex) and the 2 white romexs go from the switch to the fan j-box. I think I need more info. Do you have a test meter? Are you sure the black romex is the Hot and Neutral? When the wires are disconnected are there other things that don't have power to them? Did you undo the neutral splice? If you could send this info I think I can walk you thru it.
Q:does it matter what gauge speaker wire to use when hooking up a powered subwoofer?
actual confident, the speaker twine could desire to continually be twelve gauge exceptionally in case you go with crystal-sparkling sound. and you could desire to get 4 gauge potential and floor wires besides. They sell great high quality audio cables at Walmart.
Q:i changed the sprak plugs wires on my 1990 300e and when i put the car on Drive it vibrates strongly. i kept checking that each wire is in the right place and on. do i need to restart the brain or reprogram the car ?
No, no reprogramming is required when wires are replaced. Did this just happen after the wires were replaced? It only happens while in gear, not in park or neutral? It could be the incorrect wires with too much resistance in them but that would more likely also show up while idling. I would more likely suspect that this is just coincidence and something else is wrong.
Q:i have until November 24 to choose between a wire or plastic retainer for when i get my braces off.In your answer please say why you would choose a wire or plastic retainer.
PERMANENT (WIRE) OR REMOVABLE (PLASTIC)? ADVANTAGES TO WIRE: CAN'T EVER BE LOST/BROKEN ADVANTAGES TO PLASTIC: CAN BE EASILY REMOVED FOR FLOSSING ALL SAID, I'D CHOOSE WIRE - WORRY FREE MAINTENANCE AND IT'S INVISIBLE TO OTHERS
Q:Okay, I just started tearing into my partially finished basement of the home I bought last week. Some of the electrical wiring is interesting to say the least.I have a junction box in the basement. One wire connects directly to the panel, another out to an outlet, and the third goes up and out to half the house. All of this is 14/2 except the quot;thirdthat runs up and out. This is wired with 14/3 but the third wire isn't connected to anything. Should I be concerned considering every outlet in the house works?
My entire House is wired with 14/3....and besides the previous owner doin it all by him/her self and making a few of the neutral lines live and vice-versa, everything works, if the third wire isnt connected to an outlet or another junction, etc., the last owner just removed an outlet or junction, and didnt cut the third wire(im assuming its a live wire) and as long as its not connected in your panel, you should be alright to either cut it and forget, or to maybe take out the 14/3 wire entirely, but if its still connected to your panel, try to find out where it went to and if it can be removed and not disrupt power flow elsewhere, as long as all the fuses are on, you can just test it and if it has no power, cut it, but always test for power, and from my lovely wiring mess, try connecting it with what should be a live(red or black) and what should be a neutral(White), just in case they aint.....else youll be zapped, and that aint to fun Or You can add a new outlet(s) if its still connected in your panel, or just make sure to cap it off, and remember the tape, it seems useless, but it prevents future problems if the cap becomes loose
