- Q:I am considering having Karndean flooring fitted in my living room, does anyone have this? It's the wooden floor full plank design that I am interested in. What exactly is it, does it look good, is it hard wearing, are there any negatives points about it?
- Knight Planks are laminated vinyl planks that look just like planks of wood. I had it laid to my gamesroom kitchen dinning and entry 2 months ago. It looks great just like real wood flooring and it is easy as to clean. The only I found out after I had it laid was it actually needs to be cut and polished after being laid (Carpet Hotline didnt actually include it in the price grrrr) you can do this yourself but the cost of the products is not cheap or have a professional who uses Karndean products to do it for you (this is what I did and it was a 3rd of the price of doing it myself) The only other thing you need to really consider is if you have pets especially dogs that live inside as it is very slippery for them and they have a lot of trouble walking on it, mine had so much trouble I ended up buying foam anti slip matting to run through the house so she can get around.

This way, when you re-stain the floor, if the color is not exactly a match, it will look like an intentional variation in the flooring instead of a fix. Test a section in an inconspicuous place, or on an extra piece from when you installed the floor. - Q:im building a new one level home to sell and putting laminate flooring(good quality) throughout with the exception of the 2 bathhrooms(ceramic). im just trying to figure out if it would be at all weird to have the same flooring throughout...everywhere? i mean its open concept great room and then 3 bedrooms down a short hall. I thought maybe too much of one thing? or would it look weirder to stop at the doorways of bedrooms and change to a different colorr of laminate flooring?
