Q: I am about to remodel my kitchen in my mobile home. I am going to tile the floor, replace the cabinets and replace the sheet rock. I am not sure if I will replace the sheet rock with a backer board and tile the walls or with sheet rock and paint the walls. My question is, should I, after tearing out the old cabinets and old floor, install the new cabinets first then tile the floor or tile the floor then install the new cabinets?
As an installer ...it definately looks nicer if your tiles go under the cabinets. If money is an issue ...you can reduce your costs by MAPPING out on the floor where the cabinets are going and not tile all the floor. Also, It is much easier to tile without cabinets so you may actually save additional money from your installer if they know that no cabinets will be installed.
Q: When installing the floor to pay attention to what
1, first of all to ensure that the cement floor dry, otherwise it will cause deformation of wood flooring. 2, if you do not play keel directly shop first cement mortar leveling. 3, leveling should pay attention to the height of the match with the door stone. 4, but also pay attention to the gap with the door installation problems.
Q: We're putting in Pergo flooring. Just wondering how everyone cleans theirs.
Cheap solution to replace those expensive PERGO flooring cleaners. 1/3 part white vinegar 1/3 part rubbing alcohol 1/3 part water 3 drops diswashing liquid Mix this into a spray bottle and you have the equivalent of the Pergo floor cleaner. Just spray and mop; also great for deodorizing a room and for a fast cleanup. I also use this on my tile floors with great results. Pergo is better off when water doesn't sit on it too long, the alcohol is added to make it dry faster. And it won't leave your floor sticky either.
Q: Hey guys, Last year i painted my garage, its a concrete floor, and the garage floor. It looked really good and i always gotten compliments on how good the garage was. This year most of the paint on the floor just pealed off and it looks bad. i think i needed to apply sealant after the paint which i didn't. I did apply 2 coats of paint but still the paint didn't hold.I'm going to repaint the floor again but any suggestions on what i could do this time to prevent what happend over the winter. Some part of the garage sticks out and due to the snow, wind all that paint just isnt there anymore..lolthanks
did you primer the floor first the would have help prevent the peeling. do use sealent also
Q: I have an android phone, downloaded the game 100 Floors. Played the first 3 floors just fine but the 4th floor is giving me a lot of problems. I've of course looked up cheats and walkthroughs and I know how to get through the level but I simply can not get it to work! I've uninstalled and re-installed a few times, I keep working at it but its not budging. I know it sounds silly but its a simple addictive game I'd like to play to keep myself sane at work during breaks. Any help would be appreciated!
I have been given previous that time through in simple terms doing no longer something. do no longer flow it, do no longer shake it, do no longer touch it and the bomb started out counting down. although i'm enjoying on an ipod touch, i do no longer be attentive to if the android version is diverse.
Q: I'm in Spain now... And what we call the "first floor", they call it "Floor Zero"!And OUR second floor, they call it first floor!Does it make sense to you?It actually does to me...Since underground one floor is -1And if our first floor is +1Then there is only one floor difference, but mathematically, the difference between -1 and +1 is actually 2!!!!So floor zero actually makes sense! What's your opinion?
Floor 1 is also sometimes called the Ground Floor. (The floor above is 2 and so on.) On many elevators they use G instead of a 1. Below the Ground Floor is the Basement. If there is more than one level below ground, they'll be called a different name which ordinarily describes their function, such as Storage Room, Boiler Room, Utility Room, Morgue, Laundry Room, etc. Mathematically, a Negative describes what does not exist. Apply this concept to a building and it's pretty bizarre. -1 Floor would be the floor which does not exist below the Ground Floor. -2 Floor would be the floor that doesn't exist two stories below the ground floor. Working on this logic, all buildings which do not use the basement-naming method, would have an infinite number of negative floors beneath them, that is, if the floors continued through the Earth's core and on out into space. Therefore, the use of Floor Zero is nominal, and could never be a mathematical construct, any more than the wor Ground Level can be a mathematical construct. My building (US) calls the street level floor Ground Level only, and it's never called the First Floor. The 1st Floor is therefore 2 stories above the street, and so on. If it were possible to think of the Basement as -1 Floor, which of course you can't because to think of it in this way would automatically cause it to not exist, but IF.......In the case of my building, the Basement (-1 Floor) actually IS 2 floors distant from the First Floor. MANY buildings within old cities have this naming style. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii... question and fun!
Q: what is sea floor spreading
Sea floor spreading happens at mid-oceanic ridges. It is one way that the plate tectonics theory is explained - why the continents move. What happens is that due to convection (hot material rising from the mantle to the surface, cooling off, then falling down in a cycle) pushes the oceanic crust apart at the ridge, allowing molten material to come to the surface, then cool when it comes in contact with the ocean, forming new oceanic crust. This also simultaneously on the other side of the plate causes subduction, in which one plate goes under the other, turning the oldest oceanic crust back into magma as it melts into the mantle. This animation might help: education.sdsc.edu/optiputer/flas... It's a difficult concept to explain without drawing a picture or something. Good luck!
Q: pine floor has a scratch ....how can I hide the scratch
sometimes if the spot was pushed into the wood and not as much the wood being actually scraped away you can soak the spot and steam the wood back out with an iron using caution to keep checking so you dont scorch the wood then lightly sand the wood with 150 or finer paper and re stain. the bad/hardest part will be matching the stain the first time cuz usally thats all you get is once.
Q: Would it be awkward to have tile on both the floor & counter top? We have white cabinets, stainless steel appliances & I want medium brown floors & counter tops...would this be weird?
It's true that solid surface would be best; however, you can use a granite tile at a much lower cost than a slab. Use dark grout and seal it properly to avoid the problems the other person mentioned. As far as color is concerned; I think I might want the floor a little lighter than the counter tops - to make them pop. Same color family, just slightly different tones or textures. Also, if you don't have a lot of counters, you can ask for a discounted granite slab; most granite places have leftovers. Make sure you have some warm color lighting or accessories to spice up your look; like oranges or reds.
Q: How to quickly remove the water stains on the floor of the tea?
The base can be
