Q:For now I dont have any available p/s2 keyboard. Is there any way to reformat using a usb one? and let us say my p/s 2 slot is busted so I cant use it even I have p/s2 keyboard.by the way my OS is still Windows XP home edition and Im still reformatting to it.
You need to enter bios and set up legacy keyboard and mouse support for usb. But you may not be able to do so on some machines using the usb keyboard. You may need to buy a usb to p/s2 adapter for the keyboard. ANY machine with p/s2 support suffers this problem.
Q:All of my keyboards don't work! I have unplugged them, restarted my computer and checked my drivers! I think it is a virus what should I do?
there should a generic driver for keyboards in the windows driver files if using the older plug in keyboard if using usb keyboards ,try going to microsoft hardware google search and download the latest drivers, you can try device managerkeyboards update the drivers
Q:Anyone with an electronic piano keyboard: in the some 100 different voices it can play (like the organ voice or the harpiscord voice), does your keyboard have a voice that is based on the Wurlitzer piano? Is it common at all? My keyboard doesn't have it. If so, what brand and/or model is your keyboard and how close does it sound and feel to a real Wurliter (sustain, distortion, bark, etc.)? Thanks.
Lots of professional keyboards do. That would be considered a must-have staple sound. On a home-keyboard (the kind with built-in speakers) though, probably not.
Q:Are Midi keyboards good to have if I want to make music on my Mac with garage band?
yes as long as its a decent one, its invaluable btw. A MIDI keyboard is a piano-style digital keyboard device used for sending MIDI signals or commands to other devices connected to the same interface as the keyboard
Q:I want to buy my girlfriend a new keyboard, she has an old hand me down one. She's not professional obviously but she's pretty advanced. I went to guitar center and looked at them and I had no idea what I was looking at or for. Also I want to learn to play too; I taught myself electric guitar, acoustic, and drums and I want to learn keyboard as well. She cant really teach me because she's usually pretty busy with work and school so I want to teach myself. I play guitar for her a lot but I like a lot of piano type songs that I cant really play on a guitar. Can you please recommend a nice keyboard we could both play on, price ranges and maybe some beginner books/songs that I could learn from? Also on a scale of 1-10, what do you think the difficulty of learning to play is? Guitar was pretty frustrating at times but I'm pretty decent. (I also don't know what kind of keyboard she has but it's relatively hold and she wants a new one) Thank you
Yamaha keyboards are good, but don't get a Clavinova; they don't sound like a piano. Kawai is a good brand too. Also you can get real pianos in both brands. I'm not sure what you mean by a cross between a baby grand piano and a keyboard; either it's an electric keyboard, or it's a piano.
Q:I decided not to buy a g15 logitech keyboard largely because i felt the my current (described above) logitech keyboard is pretty ordinary and not as nice to type on as my microsoft multimeida keyboard. Instead I got Razer Lycosa gaming keyboard which seems to have favourable response from reviews for typing. Do the higher-end logitech keyboards feel much different (they sure look the same)? How would I feel about typing on the lycosa if I like the Microsoft media keyboard?
The better Logitech keyboards with the thinner keys are a lot better for typing, but I'm not a huge fan of wireless keyboards for the whole batteries thing. Anyways, if you want a nice keyboard, try the Saitek Eclipse. I've been using this keyboard for a very long time (the original Eclipse, there's a newer version now) and it's very durable, easy to clean, and the keys feel nice when touch-typing. Not as nice as the IBM Model M keyboards with the clicky buckling-spring keys, but still nice.
Q:I bought a new wireless mouse and keyboard yesterday and it was working fine, when I switched my computer on again last night the keyboard and mouse didnt pick up a signal, do you think i should take it back to the shop and get a refund?
Make sure no Metal or microwaves are on. anything with a magnetic signal can inturupt. Try getting the PC and keyboard nearer like putting ur pc on the floor and typing near it. if not. Unplug and move the Keyboard Reciveer around. If its a usb. If its a keyboard port well, check your port with another keyboard using that port. If the wireless just wont work. take back and say. it might be a malfuntion.
Q:How would I set up a keyboard on stage? My keyboard is a Yamaha PSR E413. How would I use guitar cables/ instrument cables to connect my keyboard to speakers that are on stage? This is so that my keyboard will directly be connected to speakers. I would plug one end into my keyboard's Phones/ Output port, but where would I plug the other end into? What components do I need?If this is in the wrong section, I'm sorry!
You need an amp of some kind -- a keyboard amp or even a guitar amp (keyboards don't sound very good through guitar amps, but they'll do in a pinch). You plug into your amp, and this is where you hear your sound. I don't know what kind of outputs your keyboard has, so you might have to use an adapter(s) with a guitar cable to plug into the amp. Sometimes you can also plug your keyboard or your amp directly into the house PA system so the sound of your keyboard gets mixed in there, too. This is in addition to the vocals and the drum microphones and the microphones on the guitar amps, etc. that also go to the house PA. Sometimes there won't be a place for you to plug your keyboard into the house PA and your amp will have to be what everyone hears. You need an amp of your own. EDIT: Thumbs down? Really? Is my answer incorrect? You got a better answer? Let's hear it.
Q:I'm currently using On-Screen Keyboard to type this question. I'm on a Windows 7 Acer desktop (Acer Aspire X1420G-U5832), and my keyboard is an Acer keyboard (Model: SK-9621). My keyboard started to have issues a few days ago. For example, I would press 'P' and it would show p/, or I would press 'N' it would show 'nh.' This problem has worsened to the point where my keyboard has stopped responding. When I press Caps lock, Num lock, or Scroll lock on my On-Screen Keyboard, it would appear on my keyboard (the color will show). Also, I tried using my keyboard on my Xbox 360, but to no avail it would not respond. Please help me.
you're USB port would be undesirable, your motherboard would be going, or your ability furnish should no longer have sufficient ability on your peripherals. Or, as reported, the keyboard motive force would be a topic. i've got had problems with the Logitech drivers interior the previous. attempt utilising a diverse USB port (if this works, the USB port is undesirable). attempt utilising fewer USB peripherals (if this works, you will possibly no longer have sufficient ability for all your peripherals). attempt utilising the ordinary keyboard motive force instead of the Logitech motive force. in case you have a USB-to-PS2 adapter, attempt utilising the PS2 keyboard port instead of the USB port.
Q:I pressed the key on my keyboard and hold the key for 5 seconds and it worked. It's like my keyboard isn't working anymore. Just what happened to my keyboard?
try turning off the laptop and remove the battery for 2 mins then put it back and start up again. Or go to the windows system restore feature using the mouse.
