The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

- It definately sounds like the bearings, or hub assemblies (as the repair shops call it) when I bought mine, they were $105 each and i needed both up front done. Labor is extra depending on where you go, unless u know someone with air tools who'll do it for you. oh.. and i drove on mine for about 3 months, which is not recommended, but i had to wait until i had enough money to get them fixed.
- Q: hello, i had a oil leak in my car witch ended up in a seized engine, i have taken the sump off and taken off the bolts of the conrods and the shells are very damaged, it seems i can now turn over the engine when the conrod bearings are removed, if the conrod bearings are damaged does this meen that the shells on the main crank bearings will be damaged aswell? would it be possible to replace these bearings without removing the crankshaft, also one of the conrod bolts is a little bit rounded off , how would i take this of and could i buy new bolts ? thanks
- No shortcuts here. The crankshaft needs to be turned to accept new oversize bearings (if it's bad enough you may need a new or used turnable crank) and the con rods should be reconditioned. Basically a whole bottom end rebuild but it would be a mistake to not rebuild the head(s) at the same time.
- Q: How can I measure to see what size main and rod bearings I need, I know to use plasti guage but from there how do I decide
- That depends on if they are direct fit bearings on your motor. Then there are punch marks somewhere that tell you what size bearing was used.

- Q: Do you need to relube your bearings if you leave them in their boxes(opened)?I bought bones reds, and I opened the box. I plan to leave it there for 3-5 days untill my other shipments(trucks, wheels) come. Will the lube dry/go away? Should I relube it in 3-5 days?
- I would not recommend re-lubing cause they are already lubricated with speed cream and if you put too much in the bearings slow right down and get dirty so I would leave them especially cause they are new ..the lube is meant to dry in a way so the balls absorb the lube ....And make sure you buy speed cream DO NOT use CRC or WD40 cause it breaks down the Nylon part and is generally not good for them ..Also don't clean with citrus cleaners, the best thing to do is get some petrol and take the bearings out of the wheels and take the red barrier thing off (carefully) and drop them in ..Then lube them with speed cream 2 drops is perfect ..But yeah that's about all you need to know ...Definitely buy Bones speed cream its $10 in NZ where im from so go to a skateshop and buy some Good luck and Happy skateboarding Tom
