Cause I have 5 wires on my vehicle and only 4 on my trailer plug. Please help

- Q: how do I wire the generator so it can spin 360 on the pole with out snapping the wires.... Thanks
- You need some ring contacts and brushes that will be touching those rings that will be spinning while the generator does to complete a circuit without twisting wires. Make sure you get the right size rings and wire for the amount of current
- Q: ive heard multiple people talk about a 'final wire'. what is it exactly? Is it the thickest wire possible? Or is it when you havent gotten your wire changed in a while?
- my othedontist said something about a final wire saying it was steal and is not as flexible the other wires he said in my next appointment i get them im excited that im almost done to because i had my braces as its about to be 6yrs
- Q: How much does it cost to install telephone wires in your household?Does it cost around $200.00 ?
- actualy no it cost around 200 bucks to get the line operating its pretty much just an overpriced activation fee becuase no1 really uses telephone lines they just get like dsl lines which is high speed internet/land phoneline
- Q: I am replacing an outside floodlight, the cable from the house has 4 wires (black, brown, grey and yellow), but the floodlight has the standard 3 live, neutral and earth fitting. How would I wire the new floodlight.. the wiring for the old floodlight is less than a year old on a house rewire. Thanks!
- Four wire power cables used to be used for 2 and 3 phase power. You would normally provide floodlight power with the use of 3 wires. How long is the cable length from house to floodlights? I would look to see what your source wire colors are and try to match those. It used to be in the USA that the red wire was used to carry the 120/240 Volts AC (50 ~ 60~ Herz). The Black wire was considered the return or negative line; and if you have a green wire it is used to put an earth ground on all the shielding, metal jackets, etc.
- Q: Wire runs from breakers to a wall outlet along the garage wall
- Ok so the first two answers are almost correct. If the breaker is 20amp it's 12 gauge wire, if it's 15 amps it will be 14 gauge wire. The outlet is in a garage it must be a GFCI receptacle. That's a national electrical code requirement. If the wiring is to be exposed (ie not inside of a wall) then it must be in conduit, cheapest and easiest to install is pvc, you can run romex or NMB through conduit. If the wall is to be sheetrock when finished then you can run just romex through the studs. It is recommended that the GFCI receptacle be mounted in an extra deep box but is not required, makes it easier to get it in there with the wires. You can put up to 8 receptacles or devices, like light fixtures on one 20 amp circuit. More and you will be over loading the circuit. The romex you run should be for 20 amp 12-2 with ground. All circuits and devices must be grounded to be in compliance.
- Q: installing whelen car strobe lights.the directions say to wire the power to the battery with wire that can hold 125% of the power
- even speaker wire can handle 12V of power direct to the battery as long as there is some sort of fuse in the setup and you are properly grounded
- Q: How do current carrying wires produce magnetism... Explain, give sites and clarify.
- i'm uncertain we've a sparkling theoretical answer to this in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it relatively is a demonstrable actuality that shifting expenses have an result on different shifting or movable expenses.even while there is not any internet fee glaring it relatively is summarized as magnetism
- Q: You have been given two samples of wire: one nichrome, one aluminum. Describe a procedure you could use to determine which sample was nichrome and which was aluminum
- If the wires are the same diameter and the same length then the only difference is the resistivity or ?ρ? of each since: ??Resistance = ρ???L ? A = 4???L ? (π???d)? ??????where??L = wire length ??and???A = cross-sectional area of wire ??or use??d = wire diameter Since the ρ_nichrome is much higher than the ρ_aluminum and given the two wires are the same diameter and length then if you connect the two wires in series across a battery, and measure the voltage across each wire, the wire with the higher voltage will be the nichrome wire because the voltage across the nichrome wire is:?V? = i???(R?) and the voltage across the aluminum wire is: ?Va = i???(Ra)? and the current i is the same through both wires and R? Ra ... or if you can just measure the resistance of each wire, ... the nichrome wire will have a higher value.
- Q: do i need a wiring harness or can i use wire crimps and do it w.o on a 2000 blazer 4wd if u think i need it plz tell me thanks
- You should always use a wiring harness to install a stereo in a vehicle. Cutting the wires and attempting to hand wire is almost always a bad idea. The wiring harness is pretty cheap ($10-$20) and simplifies the whole procedure. Most of the time, the wiring harness and the head unit have similar colored wiring to aid in quick connections. Also, and more importantly, you can reverse the installation. The plugs will still be there and no cutting and rewiring at all. Remember, the head unit costs $150-$250 bucks, why would you cut corners on the installation kit?
