If as you say, the the job is of a poor finish you can rake out the joints using a flat head screwdriver when this has been done thoroughly clean the surface. You can purchase coloured waterproof grout from most DIY or hardware stores. If the grout is in powder form then you will need to put water into a container first, then add the powder stirring as you add it until it is of a thick creamy cosistency. Pour this over the tiles and using a rubber squeegy (the type you would use for cleaning your windows) spread the mix and ensure it goes into each tile joint. If it dries quickly then deal with it approximately 1 sq yard at a time. using a sponge and a bucket of water, clean off the excess grout and rub dry with a clean cloth. This should give you a good finish! As for the removing the cement stains this can be removed using a paint scraper and a scouring pad. Note this should be done prior to you preparing the above for grouting. Good luck.

It would depend on the type of quarry, limestone powder goes into cement but that is not the only ingredient. Therefore, limestone quarry dust may have some cementitious properties when mixed with water, but will not behave at nearly the capacity of standard cement.

This is definitely not a good idea as there will be a reaction between the cement and the salt. Even though the cement will appear hard it will be weakened by the salt. There may however be special cements which are made to be mixed with sea water. Bill

Allow me to qualify my answer first. When mixing cement water, in the process and as it dries hardens, air pockets tend to form inside the concrete. Air pockets are like those holes that are inside the cheese we see when we cut it. Concretes could also tend to form air pockets as it dries up firms up. Those air pockets could WEAKEN the concrete, because of the spaces inside. Now, the function of silicon dioxide is it minimize those air pockets tends to make concrete stronger.

Strength forms by hydration to calcium aluminate hydrates. They are well-adapted for use in refractory (high-temperature resistant) concretes, e.g. for furnace linings. ===== Note the term hydraulic - it means water is required as a chemical reaction occurs where the ingredient molecules react with water to form hydrates. Notice that the ingredients contain no water molecules and no hydrogen atoms. Guitar George has it right. You need concrete (some people call it cement but that is technically not correct) It needs to be at least 3 1/2 inches, maybe 4 $100 cubic yard for concrete delivered. Does not include labor to place and finish. You will also need formwork and rebar.

Do you mean concrete ? Concrete is a mix of sand, gravel, portland cement and water. A lot of people informally refer to this mixture as cement. It is what is used to build blocks, walls and floors. If this is what you mean and you want it delivered in a mixer truck you should look in the yellow pages under concrete. The price varies a lot with locality. Also your second, third, fourth and subsequent cubic yards decline in price, (quite sharply at first) because the time and fuel needed for delivery are pretty much the same no matter how much you order.
