Introduction of AR Glass Fiber Chopped Strand- Zirconia 14.5%:
There are two kind of AR glass fiber, one is Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand, the other one is Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands.
(1) Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand
Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It has excellent properties with alkali resistance, stiffness, bundle – state, ageing – proof, Mixed 20 minutes in cement at 50rpm,it can still keep good bundle state, it won’t dispersed to filament.
Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It is a high integrity AR Glass Fiber Chopped Strands designed for use in the reinforcement of concrete, renders and mortars. It may be added to conventional mixes either on site or by prepending with other dry mix components. The low – tex strands permits efficient reinforcement at low dosages. They are particularly suited to the modification of standard concrete mixes for floor screeds and slabs, and for the preparation of prebagged mixes of special mortars and renders.
(2) Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands
Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
AR Glassfiber Applied with water – dispersed size, the strands will disperse well to filaments in water in 10 seconds, and also disperse fast, usage amount less, enlarge strength.
Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It is typically used at a low level of addition to prevent cracking and improve the performance of ready mix concrete, floor screeds, renders or the special mortar mixes.it can be used for surface crack – proof of GRC products.
Applications of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
Applying for Fiberglass Reinforced Cement/Concrete.Alkali resistant, excellent integrated with cement, dispersibility.

Application of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
--Mix your resin and hardener, or catalyst
--Next add your AR Fiberglass Chopped Strands
--It is best to use a paint mixer on your power drill to ensure that all of the strands are properly saturated
Thick layers and large pour areas can create excessive heat, so proceed with caution.
- Q: Final setting time of cement...?
- First is the 1st 24 hrs which then you can walk on the slab. 2nd is the next 7/8 days after which you could drive across and the final setting time is the next 30 days for the slab to cure. GL
- Q: I have vinyl tiles in my kitchen and I wanted to replace it with marble tiles. Do I have to remove the vinyl tiles first or can I just go over it with cement? Thanks.
- Marble tiles require a very rigid support system. Or they will crack. The recommended deflection is L/720 whereas typical construction is rated at L/360 - twice as flexible. *Ceramic* tile is useable on an L/360 structure when a properly installed cement backer board is beneath it. Unless the floor of your kitchen is a concrete slab, I am willing to bet that it will deflect too much for a satisfactory marble tile installation without substantial beefing up of the floor structure. As for your original question, the answer is no, but you will need to lay cement backer board (Hardie backer, Durock, etc.) which will provide a proper surface for the thinset mortar to adhere to which will solve a small portion of the problem. But, the backer board won't do anything to solve the deflection problem along the floor joists, only between them. What those deflection limits mean is that for L/720, a 10 foot floor span will move 120/720=1/6 inch under maximum design loads. For the L/360 case, the movement is 1/3 inch or about 5/16.
- Q: I have a very ugly cement backyard area, were the homeowners before me thought it was cool to put orange, red and yellow tennise court paint down and now thats chipping away it is really ugly. So can I just lay stone tile down to make it look better or what can I do. The cement is probly 25 years old no cracks that I can see their is one corner that is lower then the rest mybe from settling maybe from a lazy DIY'er.
- From what you say, the concrete appears to be stable and will probably make a good underlayment for your tile. Your problem, however, is the paint on the surface. Any tile installed on such a surface will come up along with the paint if and when it delaminates from the concrete. By scoring, scraping, chemically, or some means; bring the existing finish down to raw concrete and bipass a nightmare down the road. Good luck!
- Q: If I scream in a room with wooden walls or cement walls, which one will work better at preventing my sound from reaching outside the room?
- Any structure of walls and ceilings will only provide minimal soundproofing unless you add a soundproof material to them like, styrofoam, cork, or fabric covered fiberglass. all of these materials are designed to absorb sound. Sound will bounce off a concrete wall more because of its density, but I would definitely use some sort of soundproofing if you need it to conceal noise. In recording studios I have used fabric covered sound insulation.
- Q: What is the amount of cement used in China in 2014?
- The use of coal is very broad, can be summed up according to its purpose for the two main purposes: thermal coal, coking coal
- Q: Are plastic cement and rubber cement the same thing, or are they different? I want to know 'cause I am building a model rocket and it says to use plastic cement, but I don't have any. Or would just plain white glue work?
- These are Materials you have listed, not crafts!
- Q: i need to pour cement and it needs to set quickly (as the weather hasn't exactly been very dry recently).so i was wondering what would happen if i use club soda (carbonated water, with very little potassium citrate, far as i can tell) instead of ordinary tap water to the mix cement
- Cement sets due to slow chemical reactions that occur naturally. Your proposal will not help at all, but would make it bubble and be weak. Just protect the wet cement as builders do eg tilted planks on bricks covered with hardboard or plastic sheeting, corrugated steel or similar
- Q: Need to remove cement like glue from painted metal. Any house hold items i can use or do i have to buy a glue remover. i.e. rubbing alcohol , cleaners ect. Thanks
- Go to your local paint store and get a solvent based thinner, apply to area and wipe off. Should work but if cement based glue has dried rock hard you will probably need to use an angle grinder to remove it.
- Q: Took out old ceramic tile that was embedded in concrete. Older home original tile. Now there is a big hao between the floor and walk 2 DIFFERENT sizes. Most of the Flor is 1 inch 3mm. There is another srip that runs behind vanity that a 2quot;. The new tile is small square and only maybe 1/4 in thick I d that.Is there 1quot; cement board? What do I do if there is a gap between tile and floor wall? I do t want water getting in from mopping or wet making mold. Also what do I do about the part that is a larger hao by 1/2 in than rest of floor? See pictures.
- Well to start, I would prep the floor by thin-setting and nailing/screwing cement board to the floor. Use a larger trowel (maybe 1/4x3/8) to help bridge the gaps for a solid bond between the wood and the cement board. Afterwards, use a self leveling compound to eliminate any uneven gaps and to raise the floor level to high high you need it. If the leveler will run under the house from the gaps, use tape or other materials to keep it from flowing through. Use as much leveler as you need to make the height where you desire...and and easy job tiling with the new level floor.
- Q: I need to repair my sidewalk and I've seen cement having these little cracks in it after it's dried; anyone knows of a way to prevent this?
- The cement cracking you are describing is probably coming from it setting too quickly. You can think of the idea with the analogy of stretching an object. If I take my time, I can stretch an object without breaking it to achieve the desired length. On the other hand if I suddenly pulled that object to get the same length I would tear it. Concrete must be well hydrated to set, and it must have sufficient time to cure! If after mixing the cement, you lay it on a hot, dry object you are taking the water out of the mix, causing it to lose hydrating ability and time to cure! Wet the surface on which you want to place the concrete or cement, then lay burlap or some type of covering to slow the process down. Wet the burlap, but do not spray the cement directly!
