Q:I have a walk-in shower (no door) and was planning on using cement board for the wall floor. Do i have to use a vapour barrier behind the cement board on the would frame? If so, what kind? Simply lay the tile on the board (wall floor) with thinset? What kind of thinset? Any help would be appreciated! Thx: More info is needed. What is on the floor of the shower now? A vapor barrier is needed for and insulated exterior wall. I use 15lb felt but 6mm poly can be used also. Q:On the gas tank of my motorcycles is edged rubber and edged thin steel. The edged rubber slides into the edge of the steel. Some of the rubber has come off the edge of the steel, and I was wondering how could I glue it. I thought of rubber cement, but I don't know. Thanks.: use some good super glue.. it makes a stronger bond. and the excess can be sanded off after it dries, its better to over apply than to under apply.

Q:and also does the cement have an affect on the water quality, such as ph, hardness...etc?and also if i do build it out of cement, do i still have to put down a pond liner?and also does anyone have any advice, or info on building a pond out of cement?THANK YOU: rubber roof liners work muck better and are cheaper than cement. Cement will give you lots of problems and the rubber last forever. I have one I built over seventeen years ago. The dogs, deer etc use it and it's still as solid as if it were built yesterday. You will need lots of help to place it as it is very heavy. I hope to enjoy mine for many more years. gail

Q:I was planning on using Hardie Backer, but the instruction state that Hardie Backer is not designed for use over concrete. I need to raise the finished floor height about one inch to match an existing floor. If I can use cement backer board, do I use thin set to attach the backer board to the concrete?
