Q:And if anyone could give me percise instructions on wiring subs to 1 or 4 ohm that would be great. I have two dual 4 ohm subs and need to know how to solder wires or crimp wires.
really pretty simple.you can buy a cheap soldering iron for about eight bucks at walmart that comes with solder.plug the iron in and let it heat for about four to five minutes.while waiting on it to heat up twist the wires together.once the iron is hot put it on the wires and heat them for about thirty seconds.once they are hot put the solder on the wires and it will start to melt .use they iron to spread the solder over wires.it will be bonded and your ready to go.
Q:My friend is buying under-wired bras and what are they and the heavily- wired bra?
they just have a wire underneath each cup of the bra. they are sewed inside of the bra, i must say that they are FAR better than regular bras. but i heard that under wire bras can cause cancer if you wear them frequently. not sure if its true though.

Wire is not magnetic unless it is iron wire, which is rare. Any wire, when it is wound in a coil and supplied with current, can become a electo-magnet. edit: it is NOT called magnetic wire, it is called magnet wire. Different. Magnet wire is wire coated with enamel for insulation. .

You can use Cat5 as speaker wire, you need to twist all the wires together and use one wire for positive and another for negative, there are several tutorials on the net on how to use it for best results but its really more trouble than its worth, I use OFC wire from parts express, but any OFC wire or copper wire should do...For shorter runs (under 15 Ft) any speaker wire should work as long as its the proper guage, wire,.. needs to be thicker for longer runs, the guage of the wire is more important than what wire you use, I use 14 guage all the way around just makes it easier to set up and looks better. Inside walls you want to use CL3 wire...this is what code requires in most states...the guage of your wire is going to be determined by the length of your run and the nominal impedance of your speaker, I linked to a chart below that will help you determine guage for your system....what I usually look for is flexability cheaper wire tend to be stiff and is hard to work with while better wire is very flexable, but either will work...

Q:I'm trying to install a ceiling fan but I'm having trouble with the wiring. Coming out of the fan I've got a black, white, black and white striped, and a green wire. coming out of the cieling i've got a black, a white and a red wire.The fan's green wire is connected to the bracket as a ground, so that's out of the way. It's the other wires that confuse me. I've tried, white to white, black to black, and BW striped to red, but that didn't do anything.Any ideas? Thanks.
The black and white striped is so you can turn the light and fan on separately. So at the fan hook white to white/black to black and striped to red. Then at switch box hook all white wires together with a wire nut,then a black power wire to both switches ,1 for fan 1 for light. Then the red wire coming from fan goes to a switch and the black wire coming from fan goes to a switch. If you want to run fan and light at the same time and just use pull string on fan then just hook black wire and striped wire together at the fan.
Q:Is there really a difference between audio wire and regular house wire? If you say yes then please explain, in understandable scientific terms why, or point me to a site that can.
Audio wire is marked to show + and - if you use house wire just make sure you get the polarisation + - correct. For 120 low voltage high amperage US systems the wire is plenty thick enough, for 230 volt low amperage UK house wiring not so good for a 12 volt system.
Q:i have a 92 saturn and bought the wire harness, i put all the wires together and all that turned on was the theft light that comes on when you take off the face after that i tried putting the red and yellow wires together and it worked, just without the key having to be in the ignition and i think that is why the stereo gets so hot so can youall tell me how to wire it correctly?
The red is the main power or acc power that comes on when car key is turned. The yeallow is for the memory for radio. Another word when u store a preset radio station that yellow wire supplies continues power to store mem for ever or untill u have to change batt. The reason y it worked when u hooked yellow and red to gether is they where both getting power. If one dosent get power it will no work. Check radio fuses for the yellow wire to see if it out. If u have manuel to car that would help. I had a mustang that with the yellow wire was dead i traced the wire tried to find the prob but could not. I ran a wire from batt to radio where the yellow wire hooked up. That is the same thing just try to keep the wire away from hot areas and door jams try to runn it through the firewall of the car.
