Q:I understand how to wire sprinkler valves in theory. But in practice, how is it done. For instance, starting at the last valves in the run, the common wire is attached, but in a 7-strand wire, you may only use 3 colored wires or so. What do you do with the unused wires? Just leave them dangling? Cap them off with a grease cap? Then, as you arrive at the next set of valves, do you cut the entire strand and splice, or just cut out the individual colored wires that you need to wire those valves?
As general practice (GP), phone company technicians wrap the extra wires around the end of the cable (both ends). This keeps them out of the way, yet they are there for later use, if necessary.
Q:I bought a bathroom fan timer and tried to install it. It has four wires and the wall switch circuit has only 3 wires. What do I do?
4 Wire Switch
Q:just need a little help to make right.just wiring an outlet from building to breaker box outside.. which way is the right way to wire it to a breaker then the box. Got the right breaker. Thanks
There are too many rules for safe wiring that you don't even have an inkling about. Connecting to the panel is the simplest part and you ask about that? Hire it done.
Q:ok, so i love making jewelry, and probably a year ago i went to michael's bought a roll-type thing of really soft, really, really thin silvery wire. a couple of days ago i went to michael's again and it wasn't there.as i said, the wire that i had is very thin, very soft, and also after you bend it, it won't snap back- it actually will never go back to being completely straight, even if you try to make it do that.is memory wire what i should be looking for?does anyone have any suggestions to what kind of wire i should get?
Hi - I hope this information helps you - Beadalon? Remembrance? is thin, tempered stainless steel wire that is used as a beading medium. The wire is corrosion resistant and will resist tarnishing. Like a spring, Remembrance wire is rigid and snaps back to its original form when expanded and released. The wire remembers its shape and retains its coil form. Sterling Silver Wires To choose the right kind of silver wire for your project, you should know how you want the piece to look and what kind of piece you are creating. You will need to consider both the hardness of the wire and the gauge of the wire. There are three kinds of sterling silver wire. They are: Dead soft, half hard and full hard. Dead soft wire is very easy to bend. It can be better for wire wrapping or for making wire beads but will often not hold shapes intended for wire wrapping. Dead soft silver wire is usually used by people who work silver because it hardens as its shaped and hammered. Half hard sterling wire is stronger than dead soft but is still quite malleable. It is excellent in wire wrapping smaller or heavier beads and is a good choice for beading and jewelry making projects. Full hard silver wire is hard to use and bend and not necessarily recommended for jewelry making - at least for a hobbyist.
Q:I made a kill switch for my car. All I need to do now is cut the wire that goes into my engine control module and join it with the switch I made. Would it be fine if I just use wire nuts or some sort of tape to join the wires instead of soldering? The instructions say quot;Step 6: Attach the killswitch wires one to each side of the wire you just cut. Step 7: Tape up all new connection.quot; It says to tape the new connections, but should I use exactly?
Solderless crimp-on butt connectors. $3.00 at Home Depot or Autozone.
Q:Can your use the power wire that they sell at home depo to do the big three upgrade or is it better to just get wire from a car audio store?
yup you can use any wire as long as it can handle the amps to calculate take the watts of the amp divide it by the voltage which will be 12 and that will tell you how many amps your wire may need to handle i would double the amps in the end to be safe and if you want to upgrade your system think about even heavier wire the bigger the better
Q:1989 Honda Accord LxWhat is the wiring Diagram for the Stock stereo wiring harness?Just pulled out the old Stereo wanna put my deck in there now but i dont know the cars harness colorss.
Honda Accord 89
Q:hi can anyone help i am currently building a 50cc scooter up from scratch i have most parts but ive started on the wiring does anyone know where i can get a wiring diagram also what wire recharges the battery from the magnetic pickup thanks
I have a wiring diagram for my Vespa 50 but it is a 1967 with no battery, magneto only. What is the year of your scooter?
Q:I have 4 gauge wiring ground and power cables, as well as a smaller guage wiring that is colored grey. I have the amp hooked up to the gound and power, how do I connect the sub to the amp?The subs is a 08 L7 in the kicker truck box wired to 2 ohms. The amp is the Alpine PDX 1.600.
take (i use 12 gauge wire on my sub installs) 16-14 gauge wire and hook up the positive on the amp to the red terminal on the sub and negative to the black one. I'm not really sure what you need exactly
Q:subs - dvc 4ohm 2 of them 600wattrms on each wiring it to a 1200 watt amp same brand as sub amp is 1 ohm stable to i wire the subs together and then to the amp a 1ohm? that would give each sub 600 watts right?
no wat i would do is wire 1 speaker to 1 port and wire the other speaker to the other pot thats if it is a 2 chanel amp... cause if not u will be pulling to much from 1 side and the speakers wont sound right..... u need to turn down the amp to at first and then bring up the bass gradually to make sure the speakers can handle it..... u also have the choice to bride the amp but thats it the spakers can handle the power... all u have to do is hook up positive then negative to 1 speaker the hook up positive then negative to a diffrent speaker but it has to be from a diff channel...... but if ur going to bridge the speakers then u go positive from 1 port to the negative to the negative of the other port this will give u alot more power to ur speakers.... thats why i recomend u hooking them up regular at first........... u also have to make sure ur gornd is like a foot long or less.... the shorter the ground the more the bass
