- Frankly, I don't think you are going to get anywhere with this. I would try to see if they would give you some money instead of recovering the sofa. If you get it recovered, the recovered parts won't match the rest of it. I'd see if they will give you a cash settlement. These kinds of warranties are really not worth much! Ask for cash!

- You could get 2 side tables in the same color or similar color to keep next to each end of the sofa. This would create the illusion of length. Also use pillows and similar or ligher colors if u have to use any. If you get a long narrow coffee table to keep in front of the sofa, this too would help. The Asian long tables that are low could look good.

- You may have faded the sofa. However, you could try cleaning the entire sofa and if you have an attachment piece and it is still wet remove as much water from that area as possible before hand. If the couch is faded, you may be better off just getting a slip cover. Good luck!

- I think you are right to go with a beige color but nothing too light...more of a sandy or cashew color. You can add pillows, throws, pictures, candles, flowers, and rug to bring in the burgundy.

- I had sticky residue on a wood effect floor, and was worried about using anything other than water on it. I used baby oil, and it worked a treat. A tiny drop on a kitchen towel, and the residue came off easily. I then just wiped over the floor with a damp cloth. Try it on a bit of leather at the back first though to make sure that it won't damage the leather.
