- When you estimate yardage for reupholstery on a sofa you have to take into consideration the pattern of the fabric and the style of the sofa and the size of the sofa. In order to get exact yardage requirement, you'll need to have whoever is going to recover your sofa give you an estimate. Any professional upholsterer can do that. A hint...if you are using a fabric that is just a solid color something, have the upholsterer railroad the fabric (meaning the fabric runs on the sofa the way it comes off the bolt). You will use less fabric and have less seams. It only works with solids, though. If you try to do it with a pattern, it looks like the pattern is turned on it's side. A good rule of thumb for most medium sized (84 long) is to allow about 20-25 yards.

Red-Orange is complimentary on the color wheel but that's way out but w warm color will bring out the best in both colors. A cool color or neutral will look boring and you won't really know why. Ask if you can take home a cushion and just see. I just looked at your photos and the upper right is perfect. A warm nutmeg.

- OMG! im not sure exactly what the color is called, but its a shade of blue. its alittle darker than a normal blue jean color but it still has the toned down dusty appearance so it wont be too exsuberant. but this shade of blue goes so lovely with espresso especially in a modern style house.

- You didn't include flooring a description of the flooring which is a major influence on overall impression, so, just in terms of a color for the sofa against the trunk and walls, I'd go for a deep green. Blues always look good with brown too, but green is easier on the eyes.
