- This is a new discovery for her. You need to encourage safe behavior. When she gets up there, you need to turn her around show her back touches the back of the sofa. When it is time to get down...you need to move her so that she knows to lay on her belly and let her feet down first. Yes it is scary as a new mom....you just have to show her how to do it safely until she gets it. I know you want to protect her from everything but really our job is to teach them how to look out for themselves. This is just the beginning. You can't remove everything that is dangerous out of her life...you need to teach her what to do about it.The only things I removed from my living room for the sake of my children were burning candles. Even knick-knacks should stay in their place so that you can teach her that they are not to touch. Believe me this will come in handy when you visit some one who has not baby proofed their house. - I don't think it has a SPECIFIC name but it seems to have a scroll edge to it, yes it's very vintage but I don't think it has a specific name. It looks as though that it could be from the Art Deco era, with the coloration and the distinction of it. Although the design on the back would assume it's more victorian than anything else, but I've used victorian sofas and this is no victorian. But I would suggest using that website the first person had suggested because you might find something similar to it. Good Luck!

- Do you live near a field of some sort? Sounds like you're always going to have to have traps out to control the mice in your area. Get a cat, make sure it has a nice scratching post and train it to use it so it won't scratch your sofa.

- As long as she's command sponsored, on your orders, 45 days should be enough time. Do you have a sponsor in Germany yet? If so, I'd ask my sponsor to keep track of the SOFA Stamp request. If you don't have a sponsor write your Senior Enlisted Advisor (or whatever your branch calls it... CSM?) and ask for assistance keeping track of it. Good communications is the key. Make sure your new command knows how to contact you at all times so that if there's a snag they can let you know what's going on.
- Q: A sticker was stuck to my microfiber/suede (? - not sure which type of fabric it is) sofa and left a sticky residue on it. How can I remove the stickiness?
- The safest product to use is De-Solv-It. Spray it on a rag and then test it somewhere on the back of the sofa, which is probably microfiber. Let it dry and then use a light soap/water mix to clean it, followed by clear water. It will probably test out perfectly fine. Then do the same thing with a rag until all the stickies are gone, following with the soap/water mixture and then a good rinse. I use this product as a laundry stain remover and to take grease off carpeting. It's also great at removing marks from plastic wastebaskets and so many other things. I don't know how I existed before I found it. It's one of those wonderful orange products that is literally safe enough to drink. You can find it at Walmart or any full-line hardware store.
