                        End Suction Centrifugal Pump

1.Structure of End Suction Centrifugal Pump Description

End Suction Centrifugal Pump complies fully to the European Standard BS EN733 / DIN24255 of performance and dimensions. They are used for pumping clean water or liquids similar to water, achieving wide application on plants, mines, city water supplies, air-conditioning coolers, firefighting system and irrigation. Pumps of the same model have different performance levels basing on different diameter after impeller trimming. Overall the whole series, there are only four sizes of shaft and five of bearing housing. As long as their bearing housings are of the same size, different pumps can interchange chief parts such as shaft, shaft sleeve, shaft seal, impeller nut, etc.

End Suction Centrifugal Pump is also very easy to be installed and maintained. Back pull-out design, driven through flexible coupling, so that pump casing and motor can remain in position while other spare parts are removed.

Q:how can i check my water pump to see its good?
You can start with the engine cold. Take off radiator cap and make sure coolant is full. Start engine and wait while it warms up, keeping your eye on the temperature gauge. When it gets to operating temperature, the thermostat should open and the coolant should start rushing past the opening. If it does, the thermostat and water pump is fine. I suggest you make sure your radiator fan(s) is/are turning on at the correct time. Lastly, if you can't figure it out, get a new radiator cap.
Q:water pump leaking antifreeze?
Once the water pump starts leaking, you can never be sure just how fast it will deteriorate further. But sometimes, they go from a little leak to a big leak real fast. So I would get it to the shop ASAP. Bring a couple of jugs of water with you in the car if you can get along by stopping every 15 minutes and refilling the radiator after it cools down. But if it starts dumping coolant out like Niagara Falls under the car, you will have to have it towed to the shop.
Q:Can I drive my truck or do I have to tow if the water pump is going out.?
Depends on how bad the water pump is. Is it getting really hot already? Is it leaking water really bad? Answer yes to either one of these and you would probably be best to get it towed to the shop. Most vehicles now have aluminum heads, and over-heating the engine can easily lead to a warped head. That is going to be a whole lot more expensive to fix than what it would cost for a tow. If it holds water and doesn't get too hot, give it a try if it's a short distance, just keep an eye on the temperature gauge. Pull over before it gets into the red zone.
Q:Is a 3000 watt generator sufficient to power a 3/4 horsepower water pump?
Danny and GTB give a good answer, I just add some: As a rule of thumb, 1 horsepower (HP or hp) is equal to 750 watts, and a motorized electric equipment at start up will suck electricity power about twice as much as its specification. Is you pump equipped with a three phase or a single phase electric motor? You have to suit it with the generator. As for the generator, if possible you choose a generator with big flywheel, with slower RPM -rotations per minutes- than a generator with high RPM, because a water pump will frequently on and off according to the usage. This could cause the generator to wave down and up accordingly. Or a generator equipped with an electronic governor that will react fast enough to the frequent on and off load of the water pump. Q:Can a bad water pump cause trouble with your starter?
How can this simple question evolve into the previous nine answers? The water pump is belt driven and mounted on the front of the engine. The starter is electrically powered and drives the ring gear on the flywheel to start the engine. One has nothing to do with the other mechanically. Hard starting can have a hundred different causes, but keep in mind the starter's only function is to spin the motor over at a certain speed. Now for the answer..... The worn water pump is allowing the alternator belt to slip and the battery is not getting fully charged. The engine does not spin over at the desired speed and the engine gets hard to start.

In the picture, to the right is the entrance, the left is the exit, the water pump inlet channel section area generally will be bigger than the export.
Q:wheel came off..serpentine belt came off...new water pump?
Price about right around $200.00 for all parts including new coolant.Plus labor. But a suggestion Honda had a recall on bad water pump pulleys in 06 maybe yours is covered under recall. Get vin number and call them, may get done for free, wouldn't hurt to ask. They'll need vin number and production date. If not a free job get estimate on repair from them to see if close to other one. Mileage doesn't matter if on recall list.
Q:Trouble with Cam Seals and Water Pump! Help!!?
these prices are correct for dealership quote. you will get a cheaper price with independent shop. your timing belt should be changed anytime after 75k miles. the timing belt and belt tensioner will break and you do not want to have replace the cyl. head, it's alot more money. the dealership lied about your water pump. that year the water pump runs off the drive belts not the timing belt. you can replace the water pump and not even touch your timing belt. your cam adjuster seal probably not leaking. what happens is the valve cover leaks oil on to the cam adjuster and is commonly mis-diagnosed. try just changing the valve cover gasket, clean up your excess oil and reinspect the seals on the back of your cylinder head after 500 miles. good luck.
