Q:Which one is more expensive all together tile or wood floors?
carpet, baileys
Q:Can you put vinyl tile on vinyl tile ?
You certainly do need to rough it up, you may also need to seal or prime it - I have seen new tiling 'creeping' over old, when the glue hasn't really been suitable. The best thing is to get recommendations from the tile manufacturer for the right adhesive for this situation (probably a solvent based one).
Q:How do I install laminate flooring in a room with tiled walls?
Yes, it is possible. You could use an oscillation type cutter with a carbide tip. If you do use this, use a scrap piece of the flooring as a shim to get your gap at the bottom so you can get the flooring under the tiles. then cover the gap with your trim.
Q:what type of glass tile is this?
3d glass mosaic tiles.. The lighting is crucial for these tiles to shine appropriately.. I'm guessing that it'll be about $100-$200 per sheet for these type of tiles ! Lowes has some pillow tiles that give off that type of light for $195 a sheet.. The walls might be some sort of painting effect.. Like dry brushing .. Very pretty intersting but, could be REALLY expensive to try and pull off... If you like the look try a simple solutions pick a few things to mimic/faux spend some money on the WOW factor... Good Luck
Q:Porcelain tile, to leave gap or not?
You have to leave some gap for grout. Butting them together would not work.
Q:How do you remove kilz from tile floors?
Depending on the type of tile you might be able to use a sharp knife (exacto or paring knife) and gently remove the spots. If you have any kind of ceramic tile that would work (in my experience) except perhaps on the grouted areas. If you have grout and the Kilz is in/on the grout you might have to actually scrape some of the grout off and then reseal the grout. Good luck. It's laborious work but it should work. If you have linoleum tile I wouldn't do that because it might remove the finish. The next time you go to the paint dept. at the store ask them how to do it if you haven't solved the problem
Q:toilet floor/wall tiles?
based on what I've read, I don't understand why you think you need to move the toilet flange to tile?
Q:Linoleum Self-stick Tiles?
You will need a sound subfloor. If you are working with a wood subfloor, just clean it up after pulling the carpet and tack strips. If you are working with a basement, you have to be concerned about moisture coming up through the concrete. That will lift your tiles very quickly. You might be able to seal the concrete and they can tell you that at a flooring store. The tiles are easy to put down, but you want follow good procedure for making them straight and neat. Lots of websites showing how to do that. I have seen some great new tile products that look like ceramic tile or other natural products. Some use a lock down seam to avoid the problem of the tiles moving apart and showing a gap.
Q:Floor Tile information needed?
Well the size is really up to you, I would probably keep it in a neat rectangle or square though, only as wide as the door is, but that's hardly a requirement. What kind of tile is it though, cause the installation will vary greatly depending on that. Need a bit more info =)
Q:what should I use to clean my bathroom tiles?
tile lab makes a heavy duty cleaner and stripper for tiles you can try that.
