Limited Product Warranty
Under normal application, installation, use and service conditions, if MODULES fail to conform to this limited product warranty due to defects in material or workmanship, then for a period ending 12 years from date of sale as shown in the invoice or Contract issued by CNBM SOLAR. CNBM SOLAR will, at its option, either repair or replace or refund the purchase price as paid by the client for these defective MODULES. The repair or replacement or refund remedy shall be the sole and exclusive remedy provided under the “Limited Product Warranty” and shall not extend beyond the 12 years period set forth herein. It will be performed directly to the direct client only. This “Limited Product Warranty” does not warrant a specific power output, which shall be exclusively covered under “Limited Peak Power Warranty” as follows.

- Solar Panels. Solar panels is a generic term for any semiconductor that converts solar energy to electrical energy. However there many different kinds of solar panels and constructed in different ways from different materials. There is the generic polysilicon solar panels for residential installation on one end of the spectrum. On the other end are very high efficiency (and expensive) solar cells used on the Mars Orbiter that are constructed of so called triple junction GaAs/Ge solar cells. - I don't think it is enough solar power. Your motor requires .5A x 9V = 3.5 watts. The solar cells are .450A x 4V x 2ea. = 3.6 watts, .2A x .5V = .3 watts, .A x 9V = .9 watts total solar = 4.8 watts. The problem with connecting the cells in series to get the right voltage, like the two 4V cells in series with the .5 volt cell (total 9.5 volts) is that the .5 volt cell limits the maximum current to only 0.2A. If you paralleled that with the 9V cell, you would get 9 volts at 0.2 + 0. = 0.3A, too low to operate the motor at its design current and voltage. The best you could do is put the two 4V cells in series, and in parallel with the 9V cell (a blocking diode might be a good idea, but probably not required for such a small array). That way you get 8 volts at 0.55 amps.

But for generating power we have to have a source which is free and we cannot put the panel in lighted area, which will make is not economical since the nett power obtained will be negative.

- My Father-in-Law had around 300sqft of solar panels installed for the equivalent of around ?3000 or $5000. These were just the cheap and relatively inefficient black plastic tubes that were installed on his roof. This was in South Africa where the labour rates are quite cheap. The system works okay and heats a 40ft x 20ft outdoor pool to over 30C in the height of summer. Rather than a pool heater, I think it might be good to look at an air source heat pump to help heat the water in Autumn/Winter when you don't get enough sun to heat the pool. These will be expensive (over $5000), but they will use less than 30% of the electricity of a standard electric water heater. Just the solar panels could cost you $5-20K including fitting.
