Q:I have fears that effect my everyday life. They would be a fear of hippos (pretty bad) and fear of wrists (extreme) and a fear of tooth picks (bad). The hippos; are cause when I was little I was pushed into a hippo exhibit at the zoo.The wrists: are for stories about cutting and stuff. It's so bad. I cry and hypervenilate and dry heave. It's horrible. And toothpicks: are because they're sharp and pointy. I can't stand them. How can I get rid of these? Seriously, they're taking over!!!
Take the batteries out for now
Q:When I was a youngin' in school, they told us that if you pulled the fire alarm, you were sprayed with some kind of ink so they know who pulled it. Is this true, and if it is, isn't it a bit of a hazard in the event of a real fire?
Rockwell - Somebodys Watching Me ? Sure sounds like the song you're describing
Q:I have 4 hard-wired, interconnected smoke detectors in my house. For the past few days, the system has been going off repeatedly for a few seconds, always in the early afternoon, usually 6 or 7 times in a 2-hour period. Is there any way to see which smoke detector is being triggered? Obviously, if starts alerting, they all do.
LOL crazy things can happen while sanding!
Q:What is pressing type pipe joint
If necessary, I will send you the connector type and specifications
Q:The other day I was pulled over for speeding. The ticket said I was going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. I am sure I wasn't going nearly that fast and the officer didn't use any sort of radar technology to determine my speed but rather paced it on a very hilly, curvy road. I've read that when officers pace a car on a road like this it is likely to be more inaccurate. Also he only paced me for a couple seconds, while I was slowing down at a stop sign, so I doubt it would be accurate at all. Lastly, he didn't turn on his lights and pull me over until we were on a completly different street where the speed limit was 45 mph. I don't know if that would change anything but someone told me it might. Is there anyway I can fight this (because I know I wasn't going as fast as he said, and I believe the only reason my speed was bumped up to 50 was so I could get the higher fine ticket). Thanks for any help!
it sounds liek mild OCD but realy it could also just be a mental health thing like peaopel that are stressed or find thier lives very hecec wil lstart to obsibite signs of OCD behaivor withotu realy having OCD. they use it as more of a thign to focus on to keep them consentrated and de stresses. liek when your at the light and grind your teeth it could just be your subconsquience telling you that you are stressed about the light and it could be your body's way off keeping you in check
Q:Could i please get an explanation as to why NASCAR drivers are athletes?
could be the thermostat, if its the water pump it will leak, may need to flush your system and check the thermostat.
Q:Hi There,I'm hoping someone may have some feedback on the following.I am trying to install a new door handle with lock for bathroom.Everything appears fine, door locks when it's ajar. However, onceI close the door and lock it, once I try and open it to see if it locks, it just flies open. The knob mechanism seems to be working, locking but I can just open the door without any problem if its in the door unit. why would this happen? Please tell me because I'm about to lose my mind. I've been working on this for over 3 hours. I bless you for your help.
Use of an extension cord in a permanent application as you describe it is a NEC (National Electric Code) violation. And not rated for the purpose. You may however, do the following: Install an extension ring (box) at the existing receptacle location. Run 1/2 PVC pipe to the new location.(you are talking 120 volts here, right?) Install a single gang FS box (weather proof pvc box) GFI receptacle and an in-use cover. Now you are in compliance with the NEC, and won't have to rework anything in the future if the house goes on the market. Please stay out of the Plumbing department when getting your PVC pipe and fittings. Plumbing pipe is rated 60 psi and electrical pipe is rated 90 deg Centigrade. They are NOT interchangeable. Not to mention you can't pull wire through a plumbing elbow, but you can pull through wire through an electrical 90 deg. fitting. I don't recommend trying to run UF (direct burial) cable in this application. Stick to individual conductors, 12 THHN will be fine for 20 amps. Hot, neutral and ground. If I missed something, if the tub needs 240 volts or more than 20 amps let me know. Bury the pipe 14' deep so that you have the 12 of cover required by code. If you use the correct/proper boxes and covers there will be no need to seal the pipe. If you take a picture of the existing wall outlet it will help the folks at your local building supply store to direct you to the right parts. OH, and are you sure the existing outdoor outlet circuit will handle this load? And if it is already GFI protected you won't need another one at the new box. Good luck.
Q:With 304 stainless steel card sleeve pipe joint with stainless steel pipe, the stainless steel pipe material what kind of requirements, can withstand the work pressure?
In the process of using, as a general instrument to take pressure, the general gas and liquid pipelines, 10 kilograms are no problem. We usually use 10 kilograms of steam piping instrument to take pressure, no problem.
Q:how long do you think it would take a mechanic to tighten the wheel studs on my 93 integra. the guy i bought it from said that i had to tighten the wheel studs on it as he had just put a new tire on and the wheel was making noise because of the loose studs. i have an extra set of studs in case i need new ones, and also how much do you think it would cost for him to do it?
if you have the fear, no amount of monthly payments can make you feel safe. Don't feel safe? move out.
Q:I drive a '91 Nissan Stanza, manual transmission, and we've never really driven it in the winter since it's been sort of a back up car, but since I turned 17, I finally am granted the privilege of having my own! The problem is, winter is coming up in Colorado, and I'm afraid it won't be able to make itthere's a steep hill right at my school in the mornings, and sometimes it may ice upand driving a manual in that situation sucks..am I going to be okay? Also, my second question is, every summer, I go up to the mountains, and there is a dirt road that's considerably steep and bumpy for about 3-4 miles, and I was wondering if this car could make it? I haven't souped it up at all..it's pretty much just in good conditionthx all
without seeing the job-but having done a lot of repairs in older houses-i can sympathise with your very real problem.the first being that the last home-owners either were unaware or were too cheap to do the job properly. there is only one solution that i would reccomendhire a licenced bonded plumber to inspect the projectwalls will probably have to be opened so be prepaired to hire a carpenter to repair the finished job. this is not a job for your local handyman-if done improperly it may cost you a lot more in the future. a TEMPORARY fix- you can use dialectric fittings-threaded one end(galv. end)-sweat joint other(copper end). i cannot stress enough that this is a band-aid fix.DO THE JOB RIGHT and save future expense headach.good luck
