Q:What are some qualities that both white people and vacuum cleaners have.?
sucking ...oh and they are worthless after 2 years and should be kept in a corner or closet
Q:I am looking to replace a vacuum cleaner. I have had several Hoover Windtunnels and just purchased and returned a Bissell Pet Vac. I have five dogs and three cats and have been going thru vacuum cleaners about every two years. I am considering spending a bit more money hoping to have a vacuum last longer and was looking into the Dyson. I hate to blindly spend that kind of money on something when all of the reviews are from people who haven't had theirs very long. I am looking for people who have had their Dyson 4 or more years and I am interested in the good, the bad and the ugly. I am looking into the DC07 animal and the DC17 absolute animal. Please only serious responses from owners who meet the above mention criteria. Thanks!!
Dyson...the BEST..
Q:Is it because of cost? What they say about central vacs that makes portable vacuum cleaners look bad? Storage issues? Cost to maintain? Reliability? Hype? Being forced to buy one over a portable?
I prefer Bissell up right vacuums and if you keep the filter clean...for under one hundred it's a bargin Central vacuum units are pricey and if you get a clog in the hose you have other issues..plus dragging the hose around the baseboard scratches them up Also thing about the dust and dirt blowing and sucking through the line to the holding canister...you are literally...pulling dust and dirt through the house in a hose... the canister is bulky and a pain to empty and if full when dumped it is a dusty mess.. for a less price and a little closet space you have little to lose I would never waste money on a central vacuum unit...buy a Bissell not a dyson and vacuum onward. *(* *(*
Q:so I am thinking buying vacuum for hardwood floor, there is eureka 2 amps motor vacuum with cord easy clean 2 vs the dirt devil cordless 15.6 volts accu charge vacuum, I don't care about cord or cordless I just care about power, which is more powerful for suction?
the electrical measure of the motor will not tell you how good the suction is. Two vacuum cleaners with the same motor type could have very different suction strength due to the motor design and even the design of the hoses. Honestly, I have never owned a Eureka, but the company has been making vacuum cleaners of high quality for a long time. If those are your two choices - go with the Eureka.
Q:I have an Intex Ultra Frame pool with filter pump model 635 (1500 gph). Are there any affordable pool vac's that will work with my pool. I was told at the pool store that none of the hoses that come with the common on the market pool vac's will work with my pool. Even Intex makes one but the filter pump must be at least 2000 gph. Please help- I'm tired of using the garden hose type vacuum. Points for best answer!
Have okorder ... Your local pool shop should be able to get one in for you, since most deal Polaris or at least the good ones do. This is a pressure side cleaner, not a suction based one, so it's a little more forgiving of smaller pool pumps and will definitely work for you. I'm just not sure what your budget is though since Polaris cleaners tend to be a little more than other makes, but ..you get what you pay for and Polaris is one of the leaders in the industry.
Q:Some of the requirements include:1) Under $2002) Bagless3) Can reach the corners4) Durability and easy to clean5) Not heavy (no muscles at all)I need specific model number not just the brand name. Thanks!
Get an Oreck vacuum. It's light weight and doesn't cost much. As far as the hardwood floors...I would just use the 'Swiffle Mop' cleaner. Uses no electricity ( saves you money ) and is very easy to use. It picks up the dust, dirt, hair and other small things without blowing them around....better than any vacuum.
Q:Heard this brand was good and lasts but don't feel like paying top dollar for a vacuum
It's possible they will be sold by a local store on sale, yes.
Q:Are tornadoes nature's vacuum cleaners?
well they do go after a lot of trailer parks!!!
Q:I have just bought a vacuum cleaner, but am very disappointed with it as the suction is much weaker than my old one. Apparently, the suction power on this new vacuum cleaner is 260 AW.Should I get another one or do all vacuum cleaners have a weaker suction than the old ones. Please give me your advice on this.
What vacuum cleaner did you purchase? 260 AW (air watts), if being measured from the base of the vacuum and not the hose is actually quite a bit of power. For example, the Dyson DC25 All Floors only produces 220 Air watts, and is considered to be one of the more powerful vacuums on the market today. Your problem is most likely either function of poor design, a clog in the machine, or you may have just gotten a lemon. Unless the problem is that it is clogged then you will want to return the vacuum and get a different one. Here is a good resource with some reviews on some of the top models (and some they recommend are less than $150, which is nice), and some details specs/explanations on how to understand suction power. Vacuum technology hasn't improved that much over the last several decades (with the exception of the cyclone technology from Dyson), but suction power hasn't necessarily decreased. It almost just seems like more vacuum manufacturers are making vacuums that are going to need to be replaced in 4-5 years, unlike the old days when they lasted for 20. Good luck, I hope this helps!
Q:How good are the Kirby Vacuum cleaners?
We bought a Kirby and the demo was great, we bought some attachments (which we NEVER used) and had it about 2 years. It was heavy and took up space since it had all the attachments. It was the worst investment I have ever made. After the kirby we bought a Hoover bagless for about 300.00, and have had it ever since (about 3 years). It still works like it did the first day we bought it! I would not recommend the Kirby, save your money, buy a Hoover and take a small vacation with the rest...
