- Q: Are there any upright vacuum cleaners you like thats under $100 and is not bag less?
- Purchase a rebuilt or reconditioned vacuum from a Vacuum Cleaner Sales Store. You can probably pick up a $600.00 machine, rebuilt, for under $100.00. This would be a much better machine than any new machine that sells in that price range. you can also find, new, a Sharp machine for prox., $200.00.
- Q: i wanna sell vacuums door to door how do i do this?
- Aiming high aren't we?
- Q: Iam supposed to do costing for a modification that we are doing for a hand held vacuum cleaner, the modification is an retractable arm.I want to know how are hand held vacuum cleaners manufactured, (forging, extrusion, injection molding??) What would be the cost??Any help thanks
- Look at the hand held vacuums they have in the store. If the housing is plastic, it is a 99.99% chance it is injection molded. If it is made of metal it could be extruded if it has a constant cross section along its length. Aluminum is a very common extrusion metal. I would doubt any high volume hand vac would have a forged housing, but I don't get out that much. Casting and machining is a possibility. As far as costs, it all depends on the life of the tool, and the number of cavities for a mold or a casting. If you mold/cast one part at a time it is much more expensive than two or four or eight. The more you mold at once, the bigger the molding/casting machine and the more expensive the mold/casting. So it depends on how many you want to make in a given amount of time, and how many through the life of the product. Finally, for your modification, do you have a design with drawings and a volume target? That is the first step to figuring out costs.
- Q: Toy vacuum cleaners, mops, pretend kitchens and stuff like that?? Isnt that kind of wrong? Seriously.
- Nah, it's training the women folk for when they get older...or so I've been told by many men. Plus, if you get them the toy brooms and vaccum cleaners, they can practice riding them before they get their permits in witch school.
- Q: A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.quot;Good morning, said the young man. quot;If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners.quot;quot;Go away!said the old lady. quot;I haven't got any money!quot;, quot;I'mbroke!and she proceeded to close the door.Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the doorand pushed it wide open. quot;Don't be too hasty!he said. quot; Not until you have at least seen my demonstration. And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure on to her hallway carpet.quot; If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder. The old lady stepped back and said, quot;Well I hope you've got adamned good appetite, because they cut off my electricity thismorning.quot; What part of broke do you not understand?
- Heard it!!!!
- Q: If sound doesn't travel in a vacuum, Why are vacuum cleaners always so noisy?
- because they don't turn your entire house into a vacuum. if a vacuum cleaner managed to suck up all of the oxygen and other gases in the world, then it wouldnt make any noise, and you'd be dead for asking such a silly question.
- Q: What would you do if your child has phobias of water, darkness, cars, vacuum cleaners and dust?
- Desensitize her to her fears. Vacuum: Have her sit on the couch and show her the vacuum but do not turn it on. Point out what every visible part of the vacuum is and explain what the vacuum does. Then, have her touch the different parts of the vacuum. After this, show her how to turn the vacuum on and have her turn it on. Convince her to push the vacuum. Go slowly and, eventually, she will lose her fear of the vacuum. Cars: Show her pictures of cars in her favorite color. Show her different kinds of cars, trucks, vans, buses etc. Tell her how important cars are and that they can take her places like the store, school, the park, etc. Have her sit in the car with you and have a picnic. Allow her to honk the horn, turn the wipers on and play with the radio. Then, plug her in and turn the car on. Tell her that cars are not toys, she should never get in one alone and she should never crawl under one or stand behind one. Later, turn the car on and have her stand outside the car with you so she can experience the noise while you explain car safety to her. Water: Play some fun games in the bathtub. Show her the shower and have her use it to make bubbles in the bath. Put colored bubbles in the water and use toys and such. You can even put on a swimsuit and get in with her so she isn't so afraid. Take her to places where she can play in a shallow pool and where you guys can look at waterfalls. Show her video's of water falls on youtube. Darkness: This is a common fear. Try playing games in the dark, leaving only a night light on. Try eating dinner by candle light and going outside at night to look at the stars. This will help her feel more comfortable with it being dark but she may still need a nightlight at night. Dust: Show her how to draw pictures in the dust. Explain to her that it wont hurt her. Then, show her how to get rid of the dust.

We are a busy couple and currently have an old dyson that we use once a week at the most (and I doubt it has hepa filtration). My wife's friend recommended getting a robot vacuum cleaner for the job.
