Q: survey - why do vacuum cleaners suck so much ?
Because that's what their suppose to do.
Q: what is the history behind it, future designs background research.
No one really knows when the first hand held vacuum cleaner was created but it was long after first vacuum cleaners were invented. First portable cleaners were carried on back until technology allowed to minimised their size. Future designs? Dyson DC30 Hand Held is a future IMO, but who knows? FOr sure they will be lighter and more compact.
Q: I am apparently having some media trust issues--commercials are DESIGNED to get us to Buy their products, and the company , if called up on will say the BEST things...so I depend on consumer experience to decide upon a number of items! I interviewed at least a dozen folks when looking for my car, at grocery lots and gas pumps, and when 100% were thrilled with their automobile, that did it for me and what the salesman said was just confirmed by my own research.Over the years I have had a dozen electric floor sweepers, and none of them have been the 'cat's pajamasquot;! So, has anyone actually HAD a Dyson, ball rolling mechanism cleaner and if so, has it justified it's $400.00 dollar price tag in your estimation? How as the suction performed and has it stayed reliable? Any details will be helpful! Thanks!
I recently went to a vacuum cleaner store ( one that repairs and sells new ones) and there were at least 15 Dysons in the back ( repair) room. I asked about them and was told they are all in for repair - they get more Dyson's that need repair than any other brand. See if you can find a place that sells Sebo. I bought a Felix. It is lightweight but sucks better than any vacuum I have ever had and has great features that I have not seen on any other vacuums. It is about $500, but will last forever. I love it!
Q: Do Roomba robot vacuum cleaners actually vacuum, or are they just sweepers?
They are great- We bought my Mother one for Christmas, and she loves it, as tiny as they are, they pick alot, she has a white pomeranian and it picks up all of his hairs, if your thinking of getting one- they really are worth the expense!
Q: What do you think about dyson product?
IMHO, Dysons are the best available vacuum cleaners ever made available to the American market. The company seems bent on implementing new innovations on every new model they release, where as lame duck companies like Dirt Devil and Hoover continue to release the same old crap over and over. Besides, what other vacuum cleaners next to the Dyson's at your local store offer a 5-year warranty? That's right, Dyson is the only big box department store brand to offer a 5-year warranty, where as Hoover only offers 2 years at the most. If you are interested in getting a Dyson, might I interest you in the new DC17 model? Their new filtration system is more efficient at filtering sand and dust out of the airstream compared to the previous designs, and it uses an extremely aggressive brushroll that will not get hair wrapped around it, and will get deep down sand out of your carpet knap.
Q: Should we men just replace women with vacuum cleaners?
Yes. We will be happy to vacate (rather quickly) and leave you the vacuum cleaner.
Q: I live in a 35ft Fifth-wheel Camper and i'm struggleing to find a Small vacuum that dose a good job taking care of my carpets.
You clearly do not understand the nature of that which you speak. You are insisting in applying human terms to that which is not human. On human terms space is a vacuum, which by definition contain nothing. But in physics terms space is a something through which all things, including energies, must pass. In this case space can indeed be bent by a sufficiently large gravitational force. When this happens anything which passes through this space will follow a curved path with respect to the curvature of the space but will follow a straight path with respect to itself. This fact has been proven using the light from a distant star, and observing the curvature as the light passes beside a nearer star, the gravitational field of which bends space, causing the light from the distant star to bend. Thus, the image of the distant star appears in a different (but predictable) position than it would have had the near star not been present. However, bending space cannot be done by scientists, because scientists cannot generate gravity. The bending of space can only be observed as it occur naturally, when space is 'bent' by the gravitational field of a star.
Q: Hello ParentsCould you please advice me on buying a vacuum cleaner for my baby's car seat. I was going to buy dyson's hand held one but the review said the battery time was only 4-5minutes after 3hrs of charging, therefore looking for something else that is good and handy and easy to store.thanks for your reply.
Best okorder and on several other leading consumer sites. It offers strong suction with 5.5 amps and has a stretch hose that lets you clean upholstery, stairs, and cars with no problems. The revolving brush is powered by 1 motor while the suction is done by another motor. The Riser Visor is for carpeted stairs and there is an excellent crevice tool for hard to reach spots. The bagless filter and clean dust cup are easy to clean and the 20-foot cord is long enough for almost any job. Users say they love that it is lightweight (about 5 lbs), has lots of power, and it cleans pet hair off of fabric quite easily. A few people mention that the hose wand is a tad too short, but still say it manages to clean windowsills just fine. The Black Decker CHV1500 15-3/5-Volt HEPA Cyclonic DustBuster ($50) is a close 2nd and worth mentioning here. The Dustbuster from Black Decker has a HEPA filter and a cyclonic-action filter system. Owners say it charges fast, has powerful suction, and is a breeze to clean out. On board attachments include an upholstery brush and crevice tool while the translucent dust bin lets you see just how much debris, hair and dust you are collecting.
Q: How can I tell how loud a vacuum is before I buy it (if there is no display model)?
Decibel okorder /
Q: Combines the cyclonic suction of a Dyson but utilizes a bag?I've used Dyson's (never owned one) and they have tremendous suction power, but I absolutely HATE the bag-less containers because when I empty them the dust goes everywhere and eventually you have to clean the containers and those filters inside. If there isn't anything that combines the best of both worlds, what upright (bag using) vacuum do you recommend as the best for a single floor mid-sized house?I really desire something that can get up close against the edge of the carpet and the side-boards and has good consistent suction power.
I love Dyson vacuum cleaners - we have two! When I go to empty them out, I just put the canister into a grocery bag and pull the latch. It helps to keep the dust contained. Don't buy a Kirby - got sucked into one of those, and it doesn't work half as well as my Dyson's.
